Shisui stood in front of the hokage office, bracing himself to just get on with it, but couldn't. They were going to talk about the marriage with fugaku sama today. So, of course he will be nervous. What if he says no?
He knocked on the door. "Hokage sama, shisui here." He informed, and came in, being greeted by their hokage and the red head of his dreams. She rushed to wards him and cupped his face, examining it. She let out a sigh and bombarded the raven with questions.
"Will it return to normal? If it does, will you have your normal eyesight? Have you eaten yet? How are you feeling? Are you tired? Do you want me to heal you? Are you-"
"Is this how Uzumaki women treat their husbands?"
Naruto looked at the raven with a confused look on her face. She processed the whole situation they were in, she was cupping his face, and his face inches away from hers. She didn't let go of the raven, instead, she stood as such and blurted out, "its not because I like you or anything!" Her face was normal, and seeing the uchiha smirk wider, she realised what she just said and pulled away, hiding her face by pulling her hair close to her face. "I mean... Its not like I like you or anything!" She said, making the raven chuckle. He came closer and as he reached out to her hair, a loud cough interrupted them. They both turned to see the hokage, looking at the both with a unreadable expression. "Sorry, hokage sama." Shisui said, backing away and standing in front of the old hokage, and naruto standing beside him. "So, you sure you're going to talk to fugaku alone?" The sandaime asked, blowing smoke off of the pipe he always has. Naruto gave him her signature grin in return and replied,
"I'll be fine, ttebayo! Besides, how scary can he be?"
