Chapter Title: Why Are You Back?

Roni's POV

"Miss Chavez, how are you?"

Here I am in the principal's office, and it just feels so right. Man, it's so good to be back here.

Smiling, I answered, "I'm so fine, Tita. How about you? You never changed. You're still as beautiful as ever." I even winked at her.

At syempre, she smiled automatically.

I smirked, you can always flatter a heart of a greedy person. You're still as voracious as ever, principal.

"Well," the tone got serious so did her face.  "What are you up to again, Ms. Chavez? Are you here to make a buzz again in my school? Just as you did three years ago?"

Faking a laugh, I replied, "Come on, Mrs. San Tiago---"

"Why are you back?"

"Bakit naman hindi?" Now her big office just got cold. "Can't I be here?" Ugh, women like her can also cut your patience.

"Well..." she said it again for the second time.

She opened a brown envelope that has my  enrolling papers, then scanned them like they're not passing. Duh.

"Okay, you enrolled at my school and it's disappointing," she concluded after letting out the nth sigh. "Do you understand that?"

"Yeah--"

"So why are you here? Why did you come back? Why are you at my school and just made a mess this morning?"

Woah, chill. This woman won't let me speak.

I shut my mouth. I feel like I can't reply to that 'cause if I do, I'd get to her nerves more.

"Ms. Chavez, answer me."

"Oh, so I can answer to that," I whispered while rolling my eyes.

"Ms. Chavez!"

As she shouted, my hands subconsciously raised themselves, making me realize that it will just make the woman angrier.

"You know that I have more meaningful things to do--"

"Madam?"

Our heavy eye contact finally fell off when it switched to her personal secretary. Yes, she has own personal secretary. What do you expect from a principal of a top elite school?

And I almost forgot that she has one, I didn't notice her presence in this big room at all.

"What's the matter, Rona?"

Rona's face tells it all. It seemed important. "The sons of Mr. Yoshida were sent to Disciplinary Center by their homeroom teacher. He said that he couldn't bear their disrespectful behavior. They're caught with cigarettes."

Mrs. Santiago then yelled, "What? The classroom hour was just about to start, how did that happen? Tell him he can't do that! I just warned all the teachers to specially take care of those brothers. Mr. Yoshida is our biggest shareholder this year!"

Oops, greedy woman exposed herself.

"What do we do, Madam? The brothers are already in DC. In no time, they will make a phone call to their dad."

This secretary is smart. She got influenced well by her boss.

While they're talking about that matter, my eyes wandered around her office. This room is the biggest one in the building. Teachers' offices also stay here, but hers is just outstanding.
