There were thunderstorms tonight, it was like needles were hitting the window. Sitting on the couch watching the streets outside fill with water.
I was sitting by the window in the house that overviews street neighborhood. Giving us a clear view of our long close neighbors, the Uchiha's.
Their house was big, way bigger than ours. Mr. and Mrs. Uchiha both had high paying jobs, they worked in the corporate world. That's why they were barely home, they go on business trips and had long hours. From the outside they look uptight and formal but they were friendly people.
When we first moved in, back when I was like five or six, not quiet sure how old I was, the Uchiha's were the first family to welcome us. They even had invited us for dinner that same day after we had settled in.
Sasuke has always been skinny but he had the most adorable cheeks as a kid. The kind that your grandma squeezes the shit out of. I was a bit of a chubby kid, my mom use to love baking with me when she had the time back then. That's why I had a small belly. It wasn't when I hit middle school that shit went away.
As for Itachi, when I first saw him. I thought he was a girl. I recall the first thing I said, "You're so pretty! Want to play dress up!"
Like he was older than me he chuckled, he was just two years older than me but spoke like a 15 year old. "I don't think my boy clothes would be of your liking." He smiled.
"Oh..." I said embarrassed. His shoulder length hair had confused me in thinking he was a girl. "Sorry." I fiddled with my fingers.
"It's okay! Sasuke and I will still play with you." He grinned and would look at his young brother. "Right Sasuke?"
He was shy back then, so he would hide behind Itachi a lot. He nodded.
I chuckled at the memory. I had made so many memories in that house with the brothers. Good and bad.
My mind falls back on to the last time I was there. I bit my lower and press my legs together slightly.
I smirk, how could I forget? I lost my virginity in that house too.
"Aya," I heard my mom say from the kitchen. "Go get ready."
"Where we going?" I yell from the living room.
I heard her take something out of the oven. "The Uchiha's invited us over for dinner. That's why I'm making moon cakes."
I look back outside the window and I didn't realize their cars were parked outside.
Once I was ready I helped my mom carry the moon cakes over to their house. They welcomed us in and I placed the moon cakes on the dining room table. My mom talked with the Uchiha's and in walked Itachi into the room.
We locked eyes but he was more focused on placing a hot pot of soup. I chuckled. He was wearing mittens and an apron. I could tell he has been cooking with his mom since his apron was a bit dirty.
"The looks suits you," I joke.
He smirked. "My mom thinks I'm wife material."
I laughed. "Whoever marries you is a lucky guy."
"I know right." He playfully flipped his hair and walked back into the kitchen.
I did my best not to make things awkward since I've been avoiding him. Itachi knew new well enough and knows I would come around.
I help set up the table with Sasuke who was actually avoiding me. I think I knew why he was mad.
"So you not going to talk?" I pestered him.
