A/N: This takes place during the first book (and therefore Mason isn't dead YAY) but I'm making Christian and Lissa be a couple now because I need another person for the story to make better sense and he wouldn't be there if he wasn't dating her. So basically Dimitri is guarding Lissa on his shift on this particular Friday night and so he is supervising as Rose, Eddie, Mason, Christian, and Lissa are hanging out in one of the lounges in the Dhampir dorms. So yeah. Romitri oneshot. Enjoy!

"Hey Hathaway," came a voice from the doorway into my dorm. I looked up from my computer and saw a tall redhead leaning against the door frame and grinning lazily at me.

"Hey Mase," I replied, leaning back and stretching. "What's up?"

"Lissa wants to hang out. She already dragged Eddie and Christian down into the lounge and sent me to snag you. You coming?" he asked. I nodded and stood up.

"Not like I have anything better to do." I followed him down the hall as he laughed.

"Oh, the great Rose Hathaway admits she has nothing better to do than spend time with a bunch of teenagers," he teased. I smacked his shoulder as we walked into the lounge. It was only the six of us since everyone was out doing something on Friday night- wait the six of us? Oh. Dimitri was standing back against the wall. Either it was his shift guarding Lissa or no one trusted me. I chose to believe the former.

"Shut up, Mason," I snarked, plopping down on a sofa next to Lissa and Christian and slinging my arm around her, knocking Christian's off in the process. "Oops." I grinned wickedly as Mason and Eddie snickered. Christian just scowled at me. "Oh chill out, flame boy," I said. He cocked an eyebrow and Eddie and Mason were just full-on laughing now.

"Damn, Hathaway. Forgot how much fun you were," said Eddie. I gasped, pretending to be deeply offended. He had been messing around with the sound system he had hooked up to his computer, but he came over and sat down next to me. There really wasn't any room left for Eddie before he sat, and now we were all squished against each other.

"Aw, did Eddie hurt your feelings? Move it, Castile. Let me do the comforting," said Mason, coming over to try and squeeze between us.

"Hold it, Mase. You won't fit," I said. He took a step back, plastering a shocked look on his face.

"Rose, did you just call me fat?" he 'gasped'. That did it. I cracked up, right along with Eddie, Lissa, and even Christian. I fell off the couch from laughing so hard and so did Eddie, and I somehow ended up half on top of him on the floor.

After we calmed down, I made myself comfortable on the floor, using Eddie's torso as a pillow, too lazy to get back on the sofa.

"Rose, you can get up now," came Eddie's voice. I sighed dramatically.

"But I don't want to!" I whined. Mason got a thoughtful look on his face.

"You can pick the music," he suggested, raising an eyebrow. I huffed and glared at him. He smirked and reached out, helping me up. Eddie stood up as well, anticipating what was coming.

"Liss, get Fireboy over there on his feet 'cause we gonna be dancing!" I squealed. She giggled and dragged him to his feet as he rolled his eyes.

I scrolled through Eddie's Spotify, looking for the perfect song. I grinned when I found it. "In The Driver's Seat" by John Schneider. I hit play and cranked the volume the whole way up before turning to face everyone with a huge smile. They all grinned in return, including Christian. This was a favorite in our group. A little voice in the back of my mind reminded me that Dimitri was standing there and watching all of this take place. You know, that little part of your brain that's hyper aware of your crush? Yeah, that was it. For now I brushed it off. I came here to have fun and hang with my friends and that's what I was gonna do.
