Today is the day of my arena audition. Safe to say that I'm feeling very nervous about it, singing on front of thousands of people, the thoughts of it are already scaring me. Ever since my room audition I have not stopped practicing for my arena audition as this is more important than the room audition. Just because the judges liked me doesn't mean more than thousands of people will aswell.

I woke up at 6am and took a shower. I put on a white playsuit which was lace on top, matched with my black vans and a denim jacket. Vans are honestly my life, they're like the only shoes I wear. I also put on foundation, concealer, eyeliner on my eyelid and water line, mascara and a dark red lipstick.

Alanna was working today so she couldn't make it down to see me. She works in our local Nandos which is great because, who doesn't love Nandos ? She tried to ask her boss for another day off to see me preform but, couldn't as she had already had too many days off.

I didn't really mind going on my own though. I have my earphones and my music to keep me company.

I left our apartment at 7:30 am to get a taxi to the arena. I got to the arena at 8am and the crowd of people waiting in line there was huge. Contestants got to go through a different side as they would have to go backstage. As I went through the door, I realised how big the place actually was, and I was afraid I would end up getting lost.

I eventually made it to where I was suppose to be. I took a seat at the back and waited until it was my turn to audition. I took out my phone and put my earphones in blocking out the sound around me.

A few minutes later I could see someone standing in front of me. As I looked up I seen a very familiar looking face. I took out one earphone just in time to hear him say "Is anyone sitting there?" He pointed to beside me. "No, no go ahead." He smiled and sat down beside me. "James right?" I asked him. "Yeah you're Skylar ?" "Yep but, call me Sky." I said. I didn't like being called Skylar, I much prefer being called Sky.

"Did you come on your own ?" I asked him. "No I'm here with my mum, dad and mate Kieran." "Where are they now ?" "Oh, they went out for something to eat because we have been here all morning so they got hungry." "Ah alright." I said. "What about you ? You come here on your own ?" He asked. "Yeah, my friend Alanna is working today and can't get the time off." "Is that the girl who was with you at your room audition ?" "Yeah."

James and I talked for a long time until it was almost time for James' audition. James was next and by the look of his face, he looked like he was going to throw up. "Hey, you'll be fine alright ? Just pretend you're the only person in the room, and sing your heart out." I said smiling at him while rubbing his back a bit, trying to comfort him.

At this point James' mum, dad and friend Kieran was here too. We all talked together for a period of time as I was on my own. I say that's why James only stayed with me anyway.

The guy that was just onstage came running off, while running into some girls arms. Maybe his girlfriend ? Dermot, the shows presenter, had now called James over and guided him up the steps and showed him onto the stage.

"Hi, tell us your name, age and where you come from." Cheryl said smiling at James. "I'm James Graham, I'm seventeen and I'm from Essex." "Remind us some of your feedback." she asked him. "Simon told me I had to like animals." He said slowly. I quietly laughed to myself with his response. "Any luck ?" Simon asked. "Yeah, great, love them now !" James said. Some of the judges and the audience started to laugh.

After he introduced his song, which was "I can't make you love me" the Adele version, he began to sing, and it sounded beautiful. His voice is so soft and tender, you could listen to it all day. And the way he can hit them high notes just takes my breath away, how can someone be that good ?

When James was finished his audition he came running out giving his mum, dad and Kieran a hug, as he had gotten four yes'. After he hugged them I said a 'congratulations' to him. What took me by surprise is that he hugged me. I just hugged him back, I mean who wouldn't ?

As James was finished his audition he had to leave, so he have me one last hug and said a good luck to me. "Wait, Sky, before I go, can.. Can I have your number ? You know so you can text me how well you did in your audition and all." "Yeah, sure." We exchanged numbers and he had to leave. Soon it will be my audition and now that I am alone again I'm feeling a bit more worried now.
