(James)

Sitting on my bed I now feel as if I can start taking my suit off, but maybe just the sleeves for now… don't wanna get caught out without a shirt, or whatever my garments are called in this world. Reaching up to my shoulder, I peeled back a magnetic seam to reveal a small zip like line, but upon further inspection I noticed some markings to place my fingers in to presumably release the mechanism. As I did this I heard a soft click, and the sleeve went loose, no longer vaccum formed around my skin, and slithered down my arm to the floor… wait, slithered? I decide to look down to my arm and cannot tear my eyes away from what seems to be dark, clotted blood like scales covering my arm, with a single odd coloured scale nestled in-between. Pulling at this scale suddenly made the world go black and Im getting a felling of vertigo..'ohh I think I'm gonna be sick'...

"Gah", I jerked awake, finding myself in a dark room. *Pop*, a text box suddenly materialised out of nowhere.

[Welcome, I am the byproduct of the gift bestowed upon you, and I will be of service to you through the duration of your life, if it ends, that is.]

[See instructions]

[Y/N]

'Hmmm… this could be interesting, I'll go along with it for now.' "Yes".

[Instructions]

[To access the inventory, use a voice command of 'Open inventory', this will then bring up an interface that is only visible to the possessor of the gift 'Game System']

[To access skills, tap on the sword icon next to the rucksack, which is storage.]

[CHEAT ACTIVATED]

['God's gift' active]

[You possess infinite stats, you cannot be killed unless through suffocation, which would take a few years to actually start depriving you of air, and you do not need to sleep. You also have access to an infinite supply of currency.]

[Have fun!]

[.....]

"Uhhh, close message?" And just like that, before my eyes, the message box just collapsed in on itself and disappeared with a *Pop*. "Well, that happened….hmm, I wonder just what the hell that was about." "Might as well check my skill tree...open inventory….*tap*....HOLY!!!" My eyes widened as I saw my available skill points, and that number revealed itself as an eight on its side; infinity. ' Okay, let's not go nuts here, I'm only gonna get a few skills, I'll get practical skills for combat and-OMG I can get a flying skill, yoit, *tap* hmmm let's have a look through the better ones….."

(Time lapse to morning)

"Damn, I'm not even tired and I've been awake for over 20 hours, that gift was no joke, well at least I got me some useful skills, and also, *ehem* 'Master craft' skill create; ornate forearm armour, 'Measure' skill; auto fit to arms." Two large polished steel forearm gauntlets materialised out of thin air 'Gotta love magic', the armour itself had small creases folded into the metal in patterns not unlike golden branches, as they were coloured so, with a main trunk leading down to the gloves where the trunk split into five separate roots with four rubies embedded in the knuckles like knots in a tree, with some of the metal overlapping over the rubies and continuing down to the fingertips, perfectly ending at the fingertips. "This'll do to go and get me a name in the smithy world, 'Replicate' skill."

The gauntlets split in two twice, making two left handed and two right handed gloves.

Removing one pair from the equation I then said " Repurpose' skill, remake the design into boots with armour up to the knee, and remove the ruby from the roots and create one big ruby at the knee for knee protectors, anddd… 'Enchant' skill enchant gauntlets for +50 resistance to all types of damage and give a strength buff of +20, hmm, same resistance buff for boots but buff jump height +8 and a speed buff of +100.", "It'll be difficult to let go of these *sigh*, but every good thing has to come to an end, 'Replicate' skill, 'Open inventory', it is with a heavy heart that I place a spare pair in my inventory….on second thoughts nah, it deserves to be remembered cause a stupid adventurer is probably gonna get killed wearing this, time to get up and get me a signature, three rubies with a circle around it.

'Engrave' skill, engrave my signature into the inside of the gauntlets and boots. I then reattached my sleeves and went out of my room, armour in a leather day sack that was in the inn room locking it behind me. I headed towards the counter, "I'm heading out now" I say as I hand the old man at the counter my keys and open the door. "Ahhh.. fresh air" I say, pausing in the doorway.

After navigating through the backstreets and alleys of the town I finally found the main square again and immediately made a beeline for the blacksmith's shop.

*Dingalingaling*

"I'll be with you in a minute!!"

Came a response from the back of the shop.
