"Gerard!" I whined, tagging along behind him as he heads into Hot Topic head-on. We've been to three different stores and in each one, Gerard's gotten me a bunch of stuff.

Of course I want new things, but Gerard really doesn't have to buy me more than three t-shirts and five pairs of shoes. But I can see his intentions. I'm not complaining about the new stuff, obviously I love it all. The only thing I'm concerned about is the amount of money Gerard is spending on me.

"Gerard!" I repeated, tugging on his sleeve. I finally managed to catch his attention, and he turned to me whilst holding a handful of pins in his right hand.

"What?" He asked, completely oblivious to the reason as to why I looked so distressed.

"Look, you don't have to do all of this. I have enough things."

He shook his head, laughing at me as I pulled a confused expression. "We have hardly gotten anything, Sunshine. Now run along and get anything you want. I really don't care. I just want you to have more than the same three band hoodies you wear everyday."

It's been a week since I moved in with Gerard and I think he's picked up on the fact that I don't actually own a lot of clothes, leading us to this very moment. He's already gotten me a heap ton of clothes ranging from crop tops to more band merch to skirts.

Earlier on he spotted a silky red dress that would apparently look "fabulous" on me, but I dragged him away before he could even think about buying it.

I saw the price tag and for that very reason I made sure he walked into a much cheaper store instead. That dress was $105. No way was I going to make Gerard buy it for me. Even if he can afford it, I'm not making him pay all that money for me.

However knowing him, he probably wouldn't care about the price. Which is why I had to drag him away from a lot of things.

But it seems as though Gerard really does enjoy spoiling me. He's never had a kid before, so I can see why he's all frantic with me having enough and being content with all I have.

I followed Gerard's request and began to wonder around Hot Topic. It was 20 minutes later that I found Gerard with a basket full of things whilst I merely held up two pairs of socks and four shirts.

I opened my mouth to say something about it when Gerard shushed me. "I choose what I want to spend my money on and I want to spend it on you. You're my daughter now, so you might have to get used to me spoiling you."

There was a level of certainty in his voice and I knew not to argue. I could tell that he wasn't going to listen.

We wandered off to the cash register, and I watched Gerard pay for every single item. And I swear, I have more socks than I've ever owned in my entire life. Except these socks were badass and I loved them.

Maybe this isn't as bad as I'm making it out to be. Although if Gerard keeps spending this much money on some kid like me, I will lock him in the house and not let him out.

We were just walking out of Hot Topic when these two teenagers stopped us.

One of them had hair with teal roots and one had long silky black hair that fell beneath their waist line. They wore ripped jeans and a boat load of MCR merch. They were literally swamped with MCR stuff, okay?

For one, the long haired girl had a Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge t-shirt as well as an MCR hoodie wrapped around her waist (I couldn't quite see the design but I saw the words My Chemical Romance printed on it). And then the girl with the dyed hair was almost exactly the same except she wore a red and black flannel over her shirt.
