This one is from Finland's point of view! By the way, Iceland is Emil, Norway is Lukas, Denmark is Mathias, and Sweden is Berwald.
"Where are you-" I shouted after the girl. She was long gone down the beach and lost in the crowds now. "-going..." I muttered to myself. She was so nice, and I didn't even catch her name! She was lost in the crowd now. I sighed and slid down the rocks. I walked up to where my brothers were waiting for me. Emil, Lukas, and Berwald were all waiting for me there.
"Mathias is at the bar again." Emil reported.
"He's going to miss the parade." I muttered, less chipper than usual.
"Hey, what's wrong?" Lukas noticed I was down.
"It's nothing. I just think... I lost someone." I stared into the night sky.
"Th' girl?" Berwald asked nonchalantly.
"Sorry, what?" I said, louder, and hiding my embarrassment. Maybe I did like her, so?
"Oooohhhhh, Tino got a girlfriend!" Iceland poked me.
"She is not! She was just nice, that's all." I said, not knowing my brother Mathias was sneaking up on me.
"Tino got a girlfriend! Tino got a girlfriend!" The older brother jeered, beer in hand.
"Shut up already!" I whacked his hand. He wasn't drunk, so it didn't throw him off. The boy liked beer. We settled into our seats somewhat awkwardly. Everyone was probably thrown off by me acting the way I was. I didn't care, I could get some quiet to think of how to find her again. I hardly noticed the boats' displays, but I hummed along to a couple songs without realizing it. That is, until Mathias started shouting lyrics over me.
The parade was almost over, but we had seen every boat so we were about to go home. I had to at least look for that girl. "If you don't mind, I'm going to stay behind a little."
"'f y' say so." Berwald led my other brothers off down the beach. I wandered around the crowd, listening hard for that little bell. Not a sound. Maybe she left already... I headed down to the street which led to the bridge, walking slowly and listening for that bell.
Finally, I heard a tingling a couple feet down the street. Was that her? Could it be? I ran to it, pushing through the crowd. The source was a man in a red suit ringing a bell by a Salvation Army bucket. My body went limp and I dropped a couple dollar bills in the basket. The man said Merry Christmas and I only grumbled in reply. I shoved my hands in my pockets and shuffled along. I probably lost her. I grabbed my Santa hat and threw it down on the ground. I stood there and watched it get trampled under the bustling crowd. I took off my coat and flung it over my arm, grimly walking to where my brothers would be. The people cheering, wacky costumes, and spirited photographers would usually cheer me up, but not this time. I don't know why I liked that girl so much. I just did.
I got halfway down the street. Then the whole street. Then the block. I could almost hear that bell. Wait, I could hear that bell! I looked to where it was coming from and saw her, getting in a (color) car. I started to shout her name, but I didn't know it. "H-Hey!!" I shouted, waving form across the street. The car pulled out of the parking lot and I saw her face one more time. She was staring straight ahead, her head on her hand. I ran after the car, waving madly. It passed me by, and I watched it go into the distance and turn off out of sight.
I took in a breath, and it seemed to stab me in the chest. That thought, that realization, that I would never, ever see that girl again.
