It was Sunday, your favourite time of the week. Ariana was home and you didn't have to go to work. Since you were feeling energized and productive, you decided to clean up the house a little. Grabbing a feather duster, you got to work, dusting out all the platforms and corners in you and Ariana's room.
You were about to move on to another room, until you saw a flicker of movement in the corner of your eye on the windowsill. You carefully walked over to the window to take a closer look, but you instantly regretted doing so.
It was a spider the size of a golf ball, strolling casually across the length of the windowsill. You screamed and threw the feather duster at it, but it only knocked the spider to the ground, unharmed. Nothing terrified you more than spiders, and you were petrified to the spot with fear. The spider crawled towards you, its legs working rapidly. You didn't know what to do, and you started bawling and trembling so hard that the desk beside you wobbled along with you.
"Y/N?" You heard Ariana's voice call out as footsteps stormed the stairs. Moments later, Ariana peeked her head into the room and saw you crying. She immediately ran towards you and enveloped you in a hug, protecting you from anything that may hurt you. "What's wrong, baby?" she murmured in your ear.
"Ssssspider," You couldn't get your body to stop shaking, and Ariana hugged you tighter, trying to keep you still. The warmth from her body brought you a bit of comfort, but you still couldn't pull yourself together.
"Where is it?" Ariana squinted at the ground, but the spider was nowhere to be found. Suddenly, you felt something crawling up your ankle, and you collapsed into Ariana's arms, barely conscious. She quickly picked up the feather duster you had threw and used it to brush the spider off of your leg. Then, she stomped on it, killing it. As much as Ariana didn't like killing animals, she would do anything for you. "There we go baby, it's gone now."
You were too shocked to speak, so you simply whimpered and nodded your head in thanks. Ariana pressed her lips against yours and rested her forehead on yours. The room was quiet as you stood in her arms, the only sound to be heard was your laboured breathing, slowly going back to normal.
"Thank you," You whispered when you finally found your voice again, and Ariana smiled and stroked your cheeks. She picked you up and set you down on your bed, then plopped down beside you. There was a bottle of water on the nightstand, and she grabbed it and handed it to you. You gulped down half of it, feeling your heartbeat slowing down and the pressure lifting off of your chest.
"Feeling better?" Ariana climbed on top of you and rested her head on your chest, gazing into your eyes.
"Yea,"
"You wanna just relax and watch a movie or something? We can clean the house another day." she brought her lips up to your neck and gently sucked the skin there, leaving love bites.
"Okay," You got the TV remote and started 'Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone'. Ariana ordered takeout and you spent the rest of the day watching movies, eating takeout, and cuddling with your girlfriend.
If only every Sunday could be like this.
