As the day progressed, different people came and went. The sweet aroma filled the building, as Nettie brought out fresh pastries, stocking them in their proper places. James noticed that she been acting a bit strange today, she seemed nervous like she was worried about something. She dusted her hands off on her apron while glancing at the clock. James narrowed his eyes, as she pulled off her apron in a hurry.

"I'm going to take an early lunch break," Nettie briskly walked to grab her belongings rummaging through her purse. "And I need you to close." James looked at her shocked that she would even suggest such a thing. She knew he didn't possess any type of people skills, what the hell is she thinking?

"No, no, no, nope, there's no way in hell I'm runnin' this place on my own. I can't even cook."

"You got this J, I wrote the instructions, all you have to do is bake the food, it's already made," Nettie reassured the teen, she rushed out before he could protest any further.

'What the hell is with her today? She being even weirder than usual.'

Worick arrived back home, immediately taking off the dreadful clothes before flopping into his bed. His mind drifted to the woman who managed to steal his heart in such a short time frame. She comforted him, she didn't have sex with other people, he did, yet she decided to comfort him allowing him to sleep on her bed in his arms. She acted like she was fine, but she knew it hurt her, anybody would be hurt. But he would continue to love her as long as she would have him. He wanted to be selfish just for a bit longer. Facing his window staring out into the blue sky before he dozed off.

James was beyond pissed, Nettie seriously never came back so he had to deal with those annoying customers himself. Now he was walking back to the apartment complex, playing with his switchblade as the moon shone down on him.

He trudged up the stairs, as he went to open the door he saw the apartment was clean, everything was gone.

Were we robbed?

Where's Nettie?

"Nettie," James shouted frantically, running and peering into every room in search of the woman. "Nettie, where are you?" James called again, he heard footsteps behind him. He quickly turned around, blade ready until he saw who it was.

"Woah, James be careful with that thing."

James looked at her, she seemed perfectly fine. Does she not see that their home is completely empty? His heart was pounding, he felt something he wasn't sure he felt before, and that was fear.

"Where the hell were you? You were acting weird earlier, and I come here and everything's gone." He was shouting and his mind got the better of him, he wasn't used to feeling these types of emotions. "Are you leaving, and you didn't want me to find out? I guess you have to much on your plate to take care of a stray Tag, huh?" He was panting, he could hear the blood rushing in his ears.
