"Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind."
The ride to the Royal Palace was quiet. Alexander, as he instructed me to call him, drove for hours. The two SUVs drove in front of us and another one at the back. A gas station appeared in front of us, and I noticed that the other SUV's were turning off into the direction of the gas station.
It was almost 4 in the morning, I was tired, cranky and Ella was driving me crazy. We turned off towards the gas station and stopped in front of a little restaurant. As soon as the SUV came to a stop, Lily woke up.
Rubbing her little eyes she started to panic, she cried and almost immediately Alexander was next to her, taking her out of the car seat. I was a bit frozen. Did I scare her?
Lily calmed down as soon as Alexander held her in his arms. He was a good father, that much I knew. It did not last long though. Lily started crying again making me snap out of my state of shock. I got out of the SUV and walked to her side of the vehicle.
I reached out my arms to her and when she saw me she stopped crying, reaching her little arms for me to take her from Alexander. Once she was with me she stopped crying. "Hello angel, you hungry?" I asked her, kissing her cheeks.
She giggled and just smiled at me. Her eyes told me everything I needed to know, the story of her heart. She was happy in my arms, which is more than I could have dreamed of because for some reason I loved her. Allot.
"Go get yourselves something to eat." Alexander spoke, breaking apart our little moment.
I turned around to walk away and then he stopped me, holding onto my shoulder. "Cover your wound and take my card," he said letting go of my shoulder, handing me his card.
"You Feel that." Ella squealed. "Yes, Ella Sparks, now hush, please."
After finding a jacket in my bags Lily and I went into the shop. I ordered some chicken wraps, some fries, and two coffees, Lily wanted a 'fruityjuitie' as she asked, which was apparently code for mixed fruit juice.
Once our food was done and paid for, I grabbed the paper bag and walked back to the SUV. Alexander was already waiting for us, that's when I noticed that the other SUV's were gone. Which was strange as they surrounded us the entire time.
As I walked closer to the SUV he was leaning against the driver side of the SUV. Keeping a close eye on, me? not likely, probably on Lily.
Our eyes met once again, but I looked away. I can't do this again. He already told me I'm not his mate, he did not want me. Finally reaching him I handed him the paper bag while putting Lily back in her car seat. "There are chicken wraps and coffee for you in the bag, I hope it's okay. As I didn't know what you would like, Alp... uh, Alexander." I said.
"I did not want anything," he said coldly. Which made me angry. He needs to eat and I'm not having him passing out on us while driving, what if- darn it, Men.
