I wake up to another bright and sunny day. I notice the bell next to be but decide not to ring it in case Luke is still asleep. I'm puzzled on what Mo grá means. I want to ask, but I'm afraid to. I decide to forget about it for now. I hear the door knock. "Come in" I say. Luke comes in and smiles. "I wasn't sure if you were awake. Here, I'll help you into your wheelchair" he says. I nod.

After he helps me into the wheelchair, he takes me to the kitchen and starts making blueberry pancakes. Those are my favorite kind. "I know you love blueberry pancakes, I hope this is okay" he says. "It's perfect, thank you Luke" I say. "Your welcome. Now, we after breakfast we have to get you into physical therapy." Luke says. I nod. I know that will be extra hard.

After breakfast, Luke takes me to the physical therapy office. when we arrive, the receptionist greets us. "Colleen will be right with you." The receptionist says. I nod and thank her. A woman with long brown hair and brown eyes comes and smiles. "Are you ready Roxanne?" She asks. I nod. "I'll pick her up in an hour" Luke says. "Alrighty. Let's go" Colleen says. She wheels me Into the physical therapy gym. "I don't want you trying to walk. We just start with moving your legs a little." Colleen said. I nod.

"I need to ask you some questions. It will determine if you will be able to walk again" Collen says. "Okay" I say. "First off, are your legs in pain?" She asks. "No, not right now anyways" I say. "Okay. Secondly, can you feel your legs?" She asks. I think for a moment. "Yes, I can" I say. She breathes a sigh of relief. "Good. Now, will start with the foot. More specifically, your toes." Colleen says. I nod. She goes down to me feet and wiggles my big toe on my right foot. "Could you feel that?" She asks. "Yes." I say. "Ok, just try to see if you can wiggle your big toe by yourself." She says. I nod and try. It takes a minute, but I finally wiggle my big toe. "The rest should fallow naturally." She says. I try with a lot of effort and wiggle my toes on my right foot. Colleen smiled. "Let's try your other foot now." She says. She wiggles my left big toe. I of course feel it and I start wiggling it by myself. "Roxanne" I hear. I look but don't who called my name. "Roxanne? Is something wrong?" Colleen asks. I look at her. "Did you hear someone call my name?" I ask. She looks confused. "No. What did it sound like, a man or woman?" She asks. "I.. I don't know. It was to distorted to tell. All I heard was my name" I say. Colleen laughs. "Maybe you just hearing things" she says. I think for a minute. "Maybe your right." I say. After our hour is up, she takes me back to the lobby. There, Luke is waiting. "How did it go?" He asks. "Good. I can wiggle my toes, so that's good" I say. "Great. We'll see you in a couple days." Luke says to Colleen. "Alright, call if you need anything" Colleen says. I nod and tell her I will.

"I'm glad you can wiggle your toes, that's a big start." Luke says. "Yeah. Colleen says I should be able to walk within a year or so" I say. Luke smiles. "That's great. It will take a lot of hard work though" he says. "I know. I just can't wait to walk again" I say.

We get back to Luke's house and he makes dinner. I'm tempted to ask about the Mo grá he called me but something tells me not too. After dinner, Luke asks me if I would like a bath. He says he hired a nurse for stuff like that for me. I smiled and said I would like a bath. The nurse came over to me and got me in the bathroom. She helped me into the bath tub after she filled it with water and bubbles.

After my bath, she helped me put on my pajamas and lays me in bed. Luke comes into the room. "Thanks Mildred" Luke says to the nurse. "Your welcome, call if you need anything" she says. I smile as she leaves. Luke sits on the bed. "Luke, thank you, for everything" I say. He smiles. "Roxanne, I know your still morning over Adam, but, I need to confess something, that I've been holding back since highschool" Luke says. "What is it?" I ask. "Before I say, I don't expect you to feel the same. I just wanted you to know." He says. I look at him funny. "Luke, what are you saying?" I ask. He takes a deep breath. He takes my hand. "Roxanne, ever since we met we became instant friends. We've known each other since we were 6. But, in jr high, I started realizing I had a crush on you. In highschool I worked up to courage to finally ask you out. But, that's when you started dating Adam. I didn't want to seem jealous so I stayed supportive of you. But my crush grew into something more. At your wedding, I was heartbroken." He says. "Roxanne, I'm in love with you. I know you don't feel the same, especially since you just lost Adam, it doesn't have to be now, but, I would at least like to have a chance. But I'll wait until your ready." He says gently. I smile and cry. "I'm not ready right now Luke, but when I am, I'll let you have your chance" I say. He smiles and hugs me. I hug back. I feel his lips come in contact with my forehead. "I'll wait as long as you need me too." He says. He brushes some of my bangs begin my ear with his finger. He cups my face and kisses my forehead again. I smile. "good night, Mo grá" he says. "Luke, what does that mean?" I ask. She smiles. "It means, my love in Irish" he says. I smile as he walked out the door. I settle down and fall asleep.
