AUBREY

I was still embarrassed by the way Amber acted at the mall. Yes, I understand where she's coming from just like the rest of my family but I wish they understood my point on things. Of course I wouldn't mind dating and eventually get married but right now my focus is on my store.

I eased out my bed and walked down the spiral steps into my kitchen. I fixed myself a bowl of fruit and headed inside my office. I logged into my Mac desktop and checked the store sales for yesterday and today. I looked over my calendar and saw my fashion show was tomorrow. I beyond excited. My phone began to ring and I noticed it was my sister in law.

"Hello." I placed the phone on speaker as I responded to emails.

"Hey Aubrey, how are you?" She asked.

"I'm good Lisa, how about you?"

"I'm great. I wanted to see if we could do lunch today if you aren't busy."

"I'm actually free today." I laughed. "Just let me know the time and place."

"Great! How does 12:30 at Chinese Love sound?" Lisa asked.

"Fine with me, I'll meet you there." I said while standing up. We hung up the phone and I sighed. Lisa was a cool chick but I have no clue why my brother married a white girl. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against white people. Lisa is just your typical blonde, always happy and so clingy. I logged out my computer and walked upstairs. I stood in my closet deciding on what to wear once I got that out I got in the shower.

I walked inside Chinese Love and spotted Lisa sitting at a booth texting. Walking over to the booth, I sat down across from her.

"Hey Lisa."

"Oh, Hey Aubrey. I'll let you go place your order before I get started."

I nodded while standing up. I made my way to the front so I could place my order. After receiving my meal I quickly returned so I could see why Lisa really bought me here.

"I know you're wondering why I asked you here and I was really hoping you could help me plan." Lisa spoke.

"Plan what?" I looked at her confused.

"Austin didn't tell you?" She looked over at me and I shook my head no.

"I'm pregnant." She squealed.

"Really! Omg, congrats. I'm so happy for you two." I smiled.

LAMONT

I finally had a day off and I was enjoying it. Working at The Rack isn't bad at all, the pay is decent and my boss is sexy as hell. What more could a guy ask for. I've been focusing on moving out my aunt's place so today I was looking at apartments. After leaving the last complex I decided to grab a bite to eat. I pulled into the parking lot of Chinese Love and hopped out. Once I placed my order I found me a table near the back and sat down. I looked around the restaurant and spotted Aubrey talking to some white girl. I laughed while pulling out my ringing phone.

So into my conversation I didn't see Aubrey standing in front of my table.

"Is someone joining you?" She asked while placing her food on the table.

"Yo, let me hit you later." I hung up the phone.

"JACKSON!"

"Hold that." I spoke before walking off to get my phone. I returned to the table with two plates and a drink. "Have a seat Aubrey." I told her.
