You stared at the pure white wall in front of you with a blank expression on your face as you sat on your stiff, cold bed. You were void of emotion as your mind was clear. Not one single thought flowed through your mind, it was as if you were dead.
If only
Now, a sudden thought ran through your mind with a shiver, your white tank top and sweatpants not doing much to keep you warm. You could grab your sweatshirt but you didn't feel like it so you allowed your teeth to slightly chatter as the temperature in the room dropped. This was normal, the rooms often got cold which was why the nurses provided warmer clothes but sometimes you would sit in the cold even if you didn't like it. The feeling of being cold kept the voices away so you tried to feel it as long as you could before you're unable to handle it.
Knocking rang from your door causing you to whip your head towards the source of the noise. Your nurse Karen walked in with a bottle of pills you were very familiar with. She was a very kind woman in her late 30's but unfortunately, you didn't like her since she made you take the medicine you didn't want all the time. Every day at the same times.

"...N, Y/N!" Karen shouted. She had repeated your name several times until finally, she got your attention. You glared at the woman with hate as she warily stepped closer to you while opening the white bottle.
"Don't look at me like that, I didn't mean to yell but you weren't answering me. Now, you know why I'm here. Go get yourself a cup of water." With not much of a choice, you grabbed one of the plastic cups you have in your little cabinet and filled it with tap water from your sink. You sit back onto your bed as you take the little purple pills from Karen's hand and quickly swallow them down earning you a gentle smile from Karen to which you growled, although Karen just ignored it since she was already used to your harsh attitude.
"What have you been doing this whole time? You're TV is off. Aren't you bored?" Not even waiting for you to reply Karen turned on the TV using the black remote that was sitting on your little table and put on some stupid children's cartoon.
"There, that should keep you occupied and not staring into space for hours." You just hummed as you watched the cartoon animals run around on the TV, a cop rabbit and a fox were being chased by a panther that was trying to kill them. It seemed pretty interesting, for a child. Looking away from the TV you noticed that your nurse already left so you picked up the remote to turn the TV off.
"No don't, I like this one. Leave it on." Looking to your left you saw Lou focused on the cartoon while curled up in your thin, white comforter. You smiled at his slightly transparent form and chuckled.
