When Tobirama returned to his room after bathing, he was struck by how uneasy he felt there. The previous night had been the first time he slept in his own bedroom, and he quickly realized that he missed Madara's room. He had spent much more time there, having only briefly entered his own bedroom twice, and Madara's presence was a comfort to him. Izuna was the only reason that they spent the night apart, having shooed him away with the excuse of protecting him from Madara's advances. Too red in the face and embarrassed to argue, he simply let Izuna guide him to his own bedroom and buried himself under the covers swiftly to hide his face away.
The day before had been quite strange. After breakfast, Izuna followed the couple around the house for the remainder of the day. Part of Tobirama was expecting him to attack, after so many years of seeing him only in the midst of battle, but the events that played out before breakfast forced him to see the young Uchiha heir in a new light. And so, whilst ignoring Madara's squawks of protest, he fell back to walk beside Izuna and converse. Izuna's sudden like for him was surprising, and he was left wondering where things changed from the Uchiha wanting him dead to them becoming something akin to friends. However, he was left unanswered.
The appearance of warm chakra at his door snapped him out of his thoughts, and he heard shuffling and whispers. Having already distinguished the chakra as belonging to the brothers, he assumed the shuffling was the two shoving at each other, which he found they did a lot. He swiftly knotted the obi of his yukata (a deep crimson one that was waiting on his bed for him) and answered the door. The first thing he saw was Madara holding Izuna in a headlock, and the next was the bright smile the younger brother was beaming his way (the sight made him feel warm inside, people never looked that happy to see him). When Madara looked up to bid him good morning, Izuna took his moment of distraction as the perfect opportunity to break the headlock, flip Madara onto his back, and throw himself into Tobirama's room, locking the door behind them. Tobirama simply arched an eyebrow in confusion as Izuna threw himself down on the bed and sprawled out. He truly was like a child.
"Good morning," he chirped happily, looking up at Tobirama and grinning that same joyful grin. Outside, Madara banged on the door threatening to break it down. Izuna paid him no mind.
Amused, Tobirama took a seat against the pillows where Izuna's long arms did not reach (the bed was quite large) and offered him a smile. "Good morning, Izuna. I trust that you slept well."
"Indeed. I trust that my brother did not attempt to seduce you in the night." Izuna's sly smile was enough to let Tobirama know he already knew nothing happened. But he would not miss any chance to tease the boy back.
"As the one who resorted to violence to get himself alone with me, I believe it is you I should be cautious with. Are you truly that taken with me?" However, Izuna seemed to be getting used to his taunting.
"Perhaps I will steal your heart from Madara. My brother tried to bed you only the day after awakening. I believe a man such as yourself should know what it is like to be romanced by a true Uchiha man." The way those dark eyes were locked on the door as he spoke told Tobirama that the words were not meant to get a rise out of him, but out of Madara. As the banging on the door got louder and the threats to Izuna's safety worsened, it was clear that it was working. A devilish smile spread across Tobirama's face. Making Madara jealous seemed like it could be fun, and proposing a date outside the clan head's house would let him get some fresh air. He could also get more time to talk to Izuna, who turned out to be a lot of fun when he wasn't trying to murder him. Who knew?
"Why don't you show me how a true Uchiha woos, then?" Izuna seemed to understand what was happening, because he stood and dragged Tobirama to his feet. When they reached the door, Izuna waited until Tobirama took his arm before opening up. Madara, who was leaning on the door pounding, stumbled and fell to his knees at their feet. Tobirama had to stifle a laugh at how ridiculous he looked, arms flailing and hair tangling around his limbs.
"We will be back later, brother. Tobirama and I are going on a date."
Madara was still on the floor throwing a tantrum when they left.
