This email I've just received today, which was sent to me yesterday evening (as usual), had showed me that she is starting to play the games meant for the actual Games. Or is she...?
(date)
S.J.:
Today was exciting. Me and Mirai are now ready for the actual sports events. Can't wait...
I got myself prepared that day. Washed myself that night, no WiFi sessions, prepare stuff for tomorrow. Hardly slept that night, friendo. Played a bit in the phone before I'm now drowsy and aslept.
When day came, I'm ready. Get myself dressed in sporting outfit, and adjusted hat in my head. Kashina then saw that I'm supposed to play sports outside. She only said nothing, I think. No other words about the outfit after that.
Finally finished with the preps, and Mirai came in through window. Or door, rather. Door also window? Weird...
I saw him with popsie (lollypop) in mouth, telling him that he missed breakfast. He nods in agreement. I later found myself in one Hidden Venue.
Looked around and saw that I'm inside school. Holiday today, he said to me, so no kids around. Found myself later standing on open school field. There's a pole gate, poles and two sets of dartboards with painted targets on 'em.
Archery and pole vaults, eh? Nice. But I turned to see that he wasn't there.
I later saw her come here. Another mascot, I assume. All white, with pink checks and pink flower petals. Someity. (I would call her "Somie", since I just said so.)
She came here and said if I'm ready to shoot. Agreed, I replied, and then asked how did she came here.
Teleportation, she replied. Mirai sent her here, but she can fly, listen to nature, and even control rocks. Wow, how cool...!
(Someone made her to be a girlie to the kiddos and the elders, if you wanna know about it. He he he.)
We then proceed with archery. She taught me basics first. I later mastered the basics, but not until I tried to shoot did I not make it.
Why, SJ? 'Cause I missed three times, hit the blue seven times, and the red once. No arrow on bullseye. Ouch!
Next came para-arch. That term meant archery for the amputated and other things, you ask me. (She was a Paralympic mascot, you wonderin'.)
Tried to shoot with mouth on bow. Failed. Tried to shoot again with feet on bow and arrow. Double failed. Tried to shoot blind. All missed (except one, it hit on red).
Somie can't stop laughing at me. She knew that I'm not good at archery.
Next came pole vaults. Tried to do that. Before...
• basics first.
• get yourself good stretching.
• run, hook, then jump. Let body take ya.Tried one and two, but not three. Fallen to starting point in first try. Missed the hook on second. Fallen again after hook on third. Got high a bit on fourth, but fell again. Almost reached bar on fifth, but pole broke and fell to ground.
Cannot stand pain in my body, SJ. She was right on one thing; always practice. Good thing she gave me drink and helped me out. She then carried me back home.
I'm a jerkish athlete they said, and sorry if the handwriting is wriggly; I'm writing on the floor with my whole body on matress. And still in pain.
Writ ye mre lter...
Ambr
Post Note: It's when she failed on the pole vaults did I started to LOL. Really. I knew it all along; she cannot master archery, nor pole vaults. She is only good at softball, though. And that she cannot stand writing badly at the end of the email... Wait; maybe she typed it on her phone, not on paper! Have you forgot, Amber?
