Ever since his encounter with the crab villain, Izuku decided to make a change. "I can't make it to the top if I act like the rest of those fakes. They don't even try, and they're already stronger than me. I have to push myself in order to get past their level" Izuku created a strict training regimen the morning after the fight. He woke up several hours earlier than usual, and all he ate was one banana for breakfast. He then went on a 10 km (6.2 miles) run, followed by 100 push ups, 100 sit ups, and 100 squats to push his limit.
He barely made it to school after taking hours to finish all of his workout, where he was belittled like usual. Izuku was too tired to react like he usually did. Instead of looking sad by what's being said to him, he kept a straight yet tired face while concentrating on his work. At the end of the school day, Izuku struggled to get out of his seat because of how sore he was. His legs gave out, causing him to fall in front of his class, as they laughed at him.
Izuku struggled to get up, but when he did he was immediately pushed back down by Bakugou. Instead of reacting, he just got back up and walked out of the class uncharacteristically silent. "I guess he finally gave up" one kid jokes, but Bakugou looks off at Izuku, feeling like something was off.
Over the next 3 years, Izuku kept on doing his morning training. After a year or two, he eventually went from getting bullied, to getting largely ignored. People gave up on teasing him as he just stopped reacting. The only person who really still tried was Bakugou. Izuku just stood there staring at Bakugou blankly whenever he took something from him, or stopped him from going somewhere. Even when not giving any reaction, he still went out of his way to prove his superiority.
After 2 years of training, and about 1 more year until the UA entrance exam, Izuku's workout went from taking several hours to complete, to having an hour or two available afterwards. He decided to clean up a beach that was covered in trash to fill up the time in his training. "Heroes are too busy doing nothing to do something as simple as cleaning a beach" he thought to himself.
During one of his mornings cleaning the beach, he felt different. As the days went by, each piece of trash felt lighter and lighter, until one day he lifted up a refrigerator and felt like he wasn't lifting anything. It was as if the natural limit of human strength broke. His entire routine could be done in only minutes. His 10km run went by in a flash. He was running at speeds he never knew the quirkless body could reach. He was superhuman. More powerful than even someone with a strength enhancing quirk.
He compared his power to All Might's, but better. "All Might has a quirk, and I've done this all on my own." He finished cleaning the beach once there was about 10 months left till the UA entrance exam. His body was extremely muscular, but his body didn't show how much strength Izuku really did have. Students in his class noticed his gradual bulking up, but they just said that even if he's naturally strong he couldn't compete against someone with a quirk.
Izuku started feeling bored about his daily routine, so he made the decision to become a vigilante at night in order to find something interesting to do, and maybe save some people along the way. He did have to prove his former idol wrong after all. He would wear one of his hoodies with some sweatpants, his signature red shoes, gloves, and a mask to cover his mouth. Izuku hopped from building to building, scouting for some crime. One night, he saw a teenage girl, not that much older than his own age. It looked like she was hiding from someone.
He watched her to see what her next move would be instead of going up to her. After focusing on her face, he noticed something red around her mouth. Blood? She looked around, and she started walking towards a dumpster. She pulled out a knife and sliced open one of the bags and a body came out of it. Izuku felt like vomiting, but he kept his composure and kept watching. Maybe it wasn't what it looked like.
The blond girl laughed and said, "Hi my love! I'm back with a present!" She pulled out a rose from her back. "What the hell..." Izuku thought as he kept watching. The girl pulled out a straw as well, as she said "I love you so much." She put the straw into the blood pool from the body.
Izuku jumped down from the roof top he was on, causing the girl to look back at him. "Hey! You're pretty cute, can I drink your blood?" She laughed as she lunged at Izuku with a knife. Izuku let the knife hit him, but it just bent against his skin. "You broke my favorite knife you meanie!" She whined, pulling out another one. Izuku let the girl keep trying to stab him, but he kept dodging as he didn't want to break another one of her knives.
Izuku eventually grabbed the girl's wrist that had the knife, and he hit a point on the girl's neck that caused her to pass out. He picked up her body and dropped her off in front of a police station, along with a note leaving the location of the dead body she had.
His vigilante nights usually had nothing going on. He would go to different cities among Japan and there were mostly just petty criminals that he just knocked out and dropped off in front of police stations. Some nights he would encounter some criminals that he could fight. He liked those nights the best. He once encountered a villain that was muscular and had a bird beak plague mask.
The villain seemed to have a vitality stealing quirk, and was robbing a bank. The hero FatGum was struggling against him, as he kept having his energy get drained. Izuku didn't want to sit by and watch, so he jumped down from the top of the building and with a single punch, the villain was knocked out. As FatGum was about to thank him, Izuku jumped off to continue his patrol. He never had to fight against a villain that put up much of a fight. He always had to hold back in order to not kill someone he was fighting against, but he did enjoy saving people.
