Four Worlds Collide

Chapter Two

Michael's POV

I groaned. The last thing I remembered was going through the teleportation tunnel. The new invention my father had made. To make an underground network of tunnels. I was supposed to be in Paradise, Ohio. I blinked. Then why was it so bright? Why did the ground feel like sand? And why was there a half-horse, half-human in front of me? Wait. WHAT?!?!?! I immediately sprang to my feet.

"Who are you and what have you done with the teleportation tunnel?" I yelled. A boy about my age with crimson red hair and bright golden eyes looked at me.

"For your information, I'm Blyke and I have no idea what a teleportation tunnel is." Blyke said.

The centaur introduced himself as Chiron.

"Do you know where my friends are?" I asked. Blyke pointed behind me. I whipped my head around and sighed in relief when I saw Mckenna, Ostin, Taylor, Jack, Zeus, Nichelle, Abigail and Ian slowly stirring behind me. 

"What happened?" Ostin said groggily. He then gaped at the centaur behind me.

Soon, everyone was awake and in the big meeting room. Chiron explained how Greek mythology was real, and how this camp was for demigods. A safe haven for them. A place where they could train. Chiron also explained how we were from different worlds.

"Did you hear that Mt. St. Helens erupted last year? That was also because of demigods." Chiron asked. What? Mt. St. Helens never erupted last year! It has been dormant for a very long time, now.

"Actually, Mt. St. Helens never erupted, Mr. Chiron." Ostin said. Chrion smiled.

"See, that proves my point that you and I are from different worlds." Chiron replied.

"Please, get to know each other." Chiron suggested. He then had to go tend to another task outside.

Ostin's POV

Silence. Just silence. We were supposed to be acknowledging the presence of the six kids across from us. But we didn't, and they stayed quiet, only murmuring to themselves, which resulted in awkward silence. I sighed inwardly. I looked over at Michael. He seemed to be familiarizing himself with the room, apparently called "The Big House." I adjusted my glasses, reached my hand out for a handshake with a teenage boy about my age with light orange hair with dark hair at the base and amber eyes. 

"Hello, my name is Ostin Liss. O-S-T-I-N. I'm a member of the Electroclan." I said. Taylor shot me a look. The boy's face brightened slightly.

"My name is Isen. I-S-E-N. My ability's Hunter, and if you're wondering, I'm a level 4.4." Isen said, grinning. Level? Ability? I assume that "ability" is his power, (Hunter? Hmm...) and apparently his ability level is up to 4.4.

"So you measure how strong your ability is? Can you have more than one?" Michael asked, looking our way. 

"Yeah, you can measure your ability like that. No, you can't have more than one. Also, we have this thing called Turf Wars, where schools compete or battle with their strongest male, King, their strongest female, Queen, their strongest healer, and the King and Queen can decide on the Jack. Also, there's the Ace position, so if you're strong, but you don't want to be Queen, you can be Ace. My school, Wellston, is ranked first in Turf Wars." Isen said. 

"So, who is the King, Queen, Jack, Ace and Healer of your school?" I asked. Isen gestured towards the guy with blonde hair and blue eyes first.

"That's Arlo, he's King of Wellston. His ability is Barrier and he's a 6.3." He then gestured to the girl next to a boy with raven hair and golden eyes with magenta colored hair with yellow streaks and blue eyes.

"That's Seraphina. She's even more stronger than Arlo, but she quit being Queen and took on the Ace position instead. She has Time Manipulation and a 8.0." He pointed to the girl with blue hair and green eyes next. 

"That girl is Elaine. She's the Healer and a 3.5." He then gestured to the girl next to him. She had bubblegum pink hair and light red eyes. She smiled.

'Hi! I'm Remi. I'm the Queen of Wellston. If you need to know, I'm a 5.4 and my ability's Lightning." Remi said. The boy with crimson red hair and bright golden eyes spoke up.

"I'm Blyke. Jack of Wellston." Blyke said. I heard giggling. Abigail. Blyke raised an eyebrow.

"What?" He said. Abigail pointed to Jack, next to her.

"Uh..I think she's laughing because you're a Jack, and my name's Jack." Jack said awkwardly. Blyke made an "Oh" face. 

"Then who's the boy with black hair and golden eyes?" Michael said aloud, before I could ask the question. The boy turned around.

"I can hear you, you know. My name's John. I'm a cripple, which means I have no ability." John smiled. Wait, that doesn't make sense. If John is someone who has no powers, then why would he be with all the powerful people?

"Uh, sorry. I'm Michael Vey, leader of the Electroclan." Michael said.

"Like you already know, I'm Jack. Jack Vranes. Also a member of the Electroclan." Jack said.

"Ostin Liss." I said.

"Taylor Ridley." Taylor annouced.

"Abigail. Please call me Abi for short." Abi said.

"Zeus. My real name's Leonard Frank Smith though. Zeus is the name Hatch gave me." Zeus said. Seraphina gave us a weird look.

"Mckenna." Mckenna told them.

"Ian." Ian said. Nichelle pointed to herself.

"Last but not least, the only Glow who doesn't glow. I'm Nichelle." Nichelled smirked at her own corny entrance.

Chiron finally returned. Following him were two teenage kids about my age. One had short reddish hot-pink hair and big green eyes. The other had large reddish-brownish eyes and dark brown hair. 

"Ah. Who are they?" the boy asked.

"The people from other worlds." Chiron answered.

"You should introduce yourselves." Chiron suggested. The boy awkwardly waved.

"H-hello. My name is Dongtae." Dongtae said. Dongtae mumbled something to Chiron, who nodded in response.

"I am an A-Ranker, with the A-ranker skills, Time Pause, Time Pause Level Two, Psychokinesis, and Teleportation." Dongtae said, with a glance at the girl.

"I'm Mio, A-Ranker with Clairvoyance." Mio said. They both looked at Chiron. Chiron cleared his throat and we all introduced ourselves. Again.

"Now, since you will be staying here for the time being, the Fates shall decide what demigod cabin you will be living in." Chiron said, holding out a hat with paper strips inside.
