I was groggy when I woke up for some reason. I say a quick good morning to Diana who replies with a friendly growl. I crawled to get off my bed because I was feeling lazy today. I dragged myself to my bathroom and took longer than usual to get dressed and go downstairs. After I got dressed, I went down and ate my avocado toast with some orange juice. I didn't see my family, which was surprising, they're always around the kitchen. I searched the entire house but I couldn't find them. I mind link Bastien in hopes of finding out their whereabouts. He mind links me back saying that he's in the garden with mom and dad. I walk to the garden and see my dad's beta, Emily's father talking very seriously with my brother, mom, and dad.

I said good morning to all of them, which they all replied with a serious "good morning Ariella." okay now I was getting a bit worried, my pack never acts like this. My dad only summons his beta when something is going to harm the pack or someone very important like the council is coming over. I asked what was going on and they just ignored me. What in the moon goddess's name was going on? And why won't anyone tell me? Frustrated, I headed towards my boyfriend Daniel's house, I love him so much. As I reach his house, I hear screaming from inside. Worried, I opened the door to find my Daniel in a screaming match with his best friend Jack to see who could scream the loudest. I give a rough cough and they finally notice that I'm there. Daniel jogs over to me and gives me a quick kiss on the lips and says, " Hey Cookie, how are you? Are you excited about tomorrow?" I stare into his ocean blue eyes for a while until he snaps his fingers in front of my face so that I come back to my senses. I answer with " yeah, I'm doing well, I'm excited for tomorrow. I'm just really pissed off." Daniel throws a pillow at Jack before he says, " aw, that's not good that you are pissed off cookie, What happened?"

I explained to him how my family's acting weird and how my dad summoned Emily's dad. Before he was able to answer, Jack tried to throw a pillow at Daniel. Daniel being a warrior, he dodges. I didn't and the pillow hit me square in the face. I swear on the goddess that I've never seen the two of them so scared. I immediately grab the pillow that was thrown at me and throw it back at Jack with full force. We ended up having a pillow fight for twenty-minutes before we decided to bake. I make a wonderful cherry pie, Jack makes delicious cupcakes and Daniel.... He can't bake to save his life. We finished baking and we went back to the living room to watch a movie and eat the baked goods. We put on grease and ate all the food. It was time for me to go and we cleaned up. Before I left, Daniel pulled me back and kissed me very passionately. After 2 minutes, we pull apart and say our goodbyes. Before I close the door, I hear him say, " I love you cookie." I answer with " I love you too, ocean-eyes."

I entered my house with many questions, But I was hungry. I make myself some mac and cheese and start devouring it. After I finish eating my mac and cheese, I go up to my room to finish reading my book. I was almost done reading the book when I heard my brother mindlink me, " come downstairs to the living room Ari, we need to talk to you about something." I place a bookmark in my book and grab my phone and run downstairs. I see my family and Emily's dad standing there. I tell them that I have to ask them something. My father permits me to speak and I ask him all the questions that came to my mind, "Why were they acting so weird? Why won't they tell me what's going on with the pack? Are we in trouble? Is the council coming to visit?" I was rambling and I was told to stop by my mother. She then says in a calm tone, " that's what we've come to talk to you about, my dear". My father now speaks and everyone is silent, he says " Alpha Romano is coming to your birthday party, he said he wanted to talk about some issues". And just like that, my world shatters. Alpha Jackson Romano of the Sanguine pack was coming to my birthday party. He was cold, ruthless, has no morals, and kills anyone who defies him. He rules his pack with an iron fist. I'm scared of him, scared is an understatement. I was freaking terrified. Diana finally speaks to me and says, " Be very careful tomorrow Ariella, Something is coming. I can feel that it's going to change our lives forever. Do not under any circumstances do anything stupid. The Sanguine Pack is dangerous. Trouble follows them like a shadow." I tell her that I won't and she disappears with a whine. I don't know what is going to happen when he arrives but I pray that the moon goddess will help me tomorrow.
