Wake Up

".. Wake up Link."
"(Y/N) wake up.."

The bright light had clouded the vision of both Hyrulians as they woke from a slumber in an unfamiliar place.

The female having on only shorts and thin fabric around her chest, the boy with only shorts on.

(Y/N) POV

It's too bright, way too bright. Placing a hand over my eyes, I sat up and took in my surroundings; I was laying in some sort of stone bed, in a puddle, with a boy next to me... WITH A BOY NEXT TO ME?

"YAHHHHH!" I pushed the young man off the stone as he groaned and rubbed his eyes.

"Who are you!" I gasped, at the same time taking in the sight of his chiseled body.

"Link.." The boy looked around after answering, clearly also having no clue what's going on. "That's all I know, who are you?"

"(Y/N), that's all I know."

"So, we both can't remember anything?"

"Nope."

"Link, (Y/N), use the slate to proceed." A female voice bounced off the walls. "This is a Sheikah slate, it will help guide you after your long slumber." Link grabbed the slate and equipped it onto his belt.

Continuing through the door we both opened some chests to find clothing.

"Here, take this shirt, the one you have has a hole, I'll take it." Link said holding the shirt out to me.

"A-are you sure?" Link just nods. "Thank you."

Finally I wouldn't feel so bare nor get distracted by such a sculpted god like young man. Mind you the clothes were too big for me and too small for Link, we couldn't swap as they were the same size. My head in fact only reaches up to Link's nose.

"Hold the slate up to the pedestal, that will show you the way." The female voice once again makes itself heard. Link held up the slate as she spoke and placed it on the pedestal. The door opened as what I assumed was sunlight made itself known to us.

"Link... (Y/N)... You are the light— our light— that must shine upon Hyrule once again. Now, go.." The voice spoke desperately.

"Are you as confused as me?" I asked, looking up at Link.

"Very," He shrugged. "But I assume we head out this way?" He said as more of a question.

"Mm, maybe we can find out more about what's happening. Let's go." We both started walking in the direction of the light.

A/N: Welcome to the first part of my botw series, I've been inspired to make this as I've been binge playing Zelda during coronavirus lockdown. I also want to make this after the announcement of botw 2.

This first chapter is only short as it's really kinda the prologue? Idk the next chapters will be longer 1000 words+ I just wanted a short and shiny start. There wasn't much chat between you and link but that will also come with the next few chapters, along with some backstory and memories etc.
