Chapter 71 - Reunion

"Bye guys! See you this afternoon, my babies" I rush out of the door saying bye to Zayn and my 3 year old daughter Scarlett.

"Bye Mummy" Scarlett speaks with a lisp

I wave behind me as I rush to my car, I'm already late twenty minutes because Zayn thought I looked peaceful sleeping. I start up my sky blue ford and drive out of the driveway and onto the road. I stop at a red light but my foot won't stop tapping, I'm never late!

Once I get there, I park my car and rush into the building.

"Oh my god, Julie. I'm so sorry i'm late" I say completely breathless, Julie is the other lady that works at the desk I work at. We have become pretty close friends and she's really nice.

"Mel, Mel, calm down. Deep breaths. Its completely fine, it's not even that busy. Now hurry up and sit down before the boss gets here" She whispers the last past

I sigh in relief and thank her, I sit down in the seat beside her and drop my handbag underneath my desk.

"Hello?"

I look up and see a guy around my age looking quite lost.

"I'm sorry, can I help you?" I ask politely

"Uh, yeah... Could you lead me to Mr Jenkins?" He says

"Just down the hall, the end room" I point

"Ok thank you" He smiles

"Your welcome" I say but I don't think he heard me because he's slowly walking down the hall, obviously new to this place.

"You look nice today" I hear Julie whisper beside me

"Huh? oh thanks" I look down at my pencil skirt that goes just before me knees and my white blouse with floral patterns. "You look nice too"

"Oh please, I look the same everyday" She says and we laugh.

The front doors suddenly open and in walk Mr Jenkins wife, I've met her a few times and she isn't very nice to the workers around here.

She has jet black hair tied up in a neat bun and piercing dark eyes that scare you. She's always dressing sophisticatedly and walks like she's much higher class than the rest of us.

"Hello, Julie and Melanie" She doesn't even smile

"Hello, Mrs Jenkins" I say, with not even a smile. She obviously doesn't like my 'tone' but just rolls her eyes.

She walks towards the bosses office, barging everyone who gets in her way.

"Don't you just hate her" Julie growls beside me

"Don't even get me started" I say and we laugh..

As soon as my shift is over-it went for 9 hours- I speed off towards home to come back to Zayn ad Scarlett.

"Hey babe" Zayn says to me as I fall onto the couch.

"Hi Mummy!!" Scarlett comes screaming to me with her arms open.

"Hi Baby," I smile and kiss her on the cheek.

"Guess what?" Zayn asks, I turn to him with a confused face and he has a smirk planted on his face.

"What...?" I ask suspiciously

"Gracie called and-"

"Oh my god! she called? Why didn't you tell me?!" I squeal, its been forever since we had contacts with Gracie. Well Zayn often see's Harry at work but im never in contact with Gracie.
