Her sharp nails slowly dug into my skin further making me flinched from the extreme pain. She wasn't strong enough to push me over but she was great at maintaining her tight grip. Quite a reflex, I immediately grabbed both of her arms that were gripping me, and with all of my possible forces, I pushed her away. She should have known that an injured person would not have much physical power compare to a well-person. My breathing was not stable at the moment due to the terrific shock I had received. I watched as her head bend low, her chest rose up and down indicating that she was breathing hard, most likely from her anger towards me.

Although so many questions invaded my thoughts, I still stood there waiting for her to talk first. I'd rather let the curiosity killed me than let down my pride in front of an ungrateful person.

"You betrayed me." was all that she said. Bitterness filled her voice and probably filled her eyes too if she was to look at me.

"I? betrayed you?" I chuckled dryly, "you were the one who declined and let alone belittle my help, and now? you claimed that I betrayed you? Are you even in your right mind?"

This time, she looked up. Her brows furrowed together and eyes filled with gloom, she was still angry.

"then tell me, Queen Magnificent Dillionio," she stared hard into my eyes, "why are you here?"

The incident came back to my mind, I was trying to find Rosemary in the dungeon, but she was nowhere to be found and then I ended up being drugged here.

Speaking of which, why is Rosemary here?

"I think I should be the one asking you this." I crossed my arms in confusion, "why are you here, Rosemary?"

I watched as she slowly stood up despite the pain in her body. With her eyes set hard on mine with a blank expression, she said "I am here to kill King Devilon Arisen."

I am not great at hiding my shock expression on my face, this received a mischievous smirk from her.

"Yes, you heard me right." she walked towards me, "I am here to kill this monster."

Surprisingly, I did not flinch at what she had called King Devilon, maybe because I had thought of him just the same. My perspective of him had not changed....yet.

"why?" instead of sounding confused, I sounded scared and I hated that.

she might have noticed my tone, this caused her brows to furrowed even further.

"well....because of him, you changed." she confidentially said.

My brows furrowed in confusion. What is she trying to refer to?

"You had changed, Queen Magnificent." she spoke again, "you are willing to give up your revenge just to stay here with this monster, the revenge that you had planned years ago. I am starting to doubt about your commitment."

What rights does she has to speak to me like that?

I shook my head and laugh, "oh..you don't know me Rosemary, you don't know why I am here and you will never ever going to know the reason behind it. Don't assume things that you don't know...." I stepped so close to her, "...it might get you killed."

Her tiny frame shook sightly under my intimidating gaze. Although she tried so hard to looked calm, she failed miserably.

"so tell me....why are you here?" I asked again.

"I am here to help you with your revenge at the kingdom of Emercidin," she smiled genuinely, "even though you might not want to."

Although I hate her guts, I still adore her affection-even if I know that she only wanted the revenge to avenge for her husband.

"who said I am here just to revenge only at Emercidin?" I raised my brows.

This caused confusion in her face.

"Pardon?" she asked, "Are you saying that-"

"yes" I cut her off, "Rosemary, the person that killed my brother is not King Antonio."

Unbelievable was written all over her face. So, I had yet tell her this.

"It was King Devilon Arisen."

If her jaw could drop any further, it would. I am not surprised that she was surprised.

She stared at me for awhile, reading me with her narrow eyes. Only until later, her lips formed into a smirk, "You are deadly intelligent."

Obviously, I'm glad you finally know.

Suddenly, footsteps were echoed throughout the hallways, startling both of us on our tracks.

"I have to go. I'll see you tomorrow, again." she curtsied away.

I nodded my head.

I watched as she slipped into the darkness and so I slowly and carefully, closed the door. Before I could, a force held the door open, revealed the hypnotizing pair of silver eyes.

Speaking of the devil.

Bitterness filled my chest as I rose my eyes to him. He leaned at the door frame, looking so lost and hopeless. Dark circles visible under his eyes indicating that he hasn't slept since. Suddenly, I was quite cold and so I hugged my rope tightly around my body.

"Why are you here?" I sounded angry and I preferred it that way.

His tantalizing silver eyes bore into mine, almost make my heart skip a beat.

"I am here to apologize for what I had said earlier," he took step forward, "and most certainly, before."

I nodded, not too sure of what to do.

"I do appreciate you telling me the truth, Magnificent. I really do." he took step closer, "it's just that it is too sudden for me to accept it since all my life, I had been with her, and only her, which was why I reacted that way. It will still have to take me a while to accept that and I promised I will."

He genuinely smiled at me and I had almost melted.

"Thank you so much...." he caressed my cheek," Thank you for everything....please, please forgive me for everything that I had done..."

His lips was inches from mine, "please forgive me..."

My heart slammed vigorously inside my ribcage. My breathing was in a hectic state. As much as I wanted it to be from the oxytocin, I can't lie since it is actually from the hatred.

King Devilon Arisen..... you killed my brother........it's too late now.
