New Beginnings?

As I wondered what I was going to do about my life, knowing that all hope is lost and there is nothing I could do to help myself. I stopped right in the middle of the crosswalk, hoping that a car didn't see me-

"Hey Idiot, get out the road!" yelled a man who appeared to be a construction worker.

I stood there looking at him, with no sign of sympathy or care.

"Yes you, guy with the orange T-shirt" He said to me again.

I slowly walked away, past the construction worker as he muttered something which sounded like 'wierdo'. I was tired and hungry, but I was to depressed to do anything. 'Buzz' I heard my phone vibrate in my black sweatpants pocket; I thought my parents were calling me but turns out it was Teni.

"Hello?"

Teni just told me that she wanted to speak to me urgently, even though I wasn't in the mood to talk to anyone at this point, but I knew she would find me and force me.

"Ok, I'm on my way" I said.

I walked past the old Tertan Street where I saw little kids playing soccer from a distance, and their mothers chatting about their husband's work and what was new about their life. I looked at them repeatedly until I noticed that there were acting knowing that there was something secret going on about them, just like everyone in Detyn City. As soon as I arrived at Teni's apartment she was soon to open her door for me.

"I came up with the greatest idea" Teni said with a very big smile on her face.

"What is it?" I replied almost believing her idea already.

"Well, I haven't really thought everything through, but I think we should run away. Like leave the city, and help others, impact other places on positivity." she said with one breath.

"Wait hold on, you want us to run away, Then what!"

"It will be an adventure"

I didn't really have a choice at this point, and we can't really stay here any longer, so we have no choice but to go.

"Ok, where do we start?" I asked.

"Well we need money, so I gathered up all my parents fortune and mine. Then we need to get transport and clothes."

"Just like that, three steps" I said anxiously.

"Yup!" she said.

"And we also need cash not card" she added.

So, we both gathered our stuff and we planned to go tomorrow morning. We both rented a hotel and waited today's night, hoping to leave tomorrow morning for our train ticket. It was now 5:30 am and we got ready for our ride. Teni was holding a little bag as she brought out two ice piercers which were expensive weapons which only needs water to be activated.

"You know now that we are wanted, we will need this " Teni said in her 'Hey-we-got-to-do-what-we-got-to-do' face.

"So, we are just going to run our whole lives?" I asked now realizing what I had gotten myself into.

"No dummy, we are heading towards a great adventure but if you want to run then run towards it"

We were all set, and the time was counting. Since we were wanted, and we wanted no one to find out about us we had to change up our wigs.

"This wig is itchy can we switch?" I asked.

"Here take this one" Teni replied.

"Thanks"

We headed towards Detyn train center, as we looked for our 6:00 am train. "There it is!" I said. We ran to the train right as soon as it was about to close, thankfully we made it with our fake ID cards. I was a good hacker and very good with technology.

I guess this is it. Life has been a weird journey for me I'm not even sure if I'm going to stop running. I see that in life we all expect to have nice things and are willing to sacrifice things for what we want but not what we need, in fact many people go high measures because what they believe is right. Not knowing that they were blinded by the wants of their desires. Scars don't go away for a reason, they are meant to remind us of our troubles, our faults, our doing, and our pain. If we all open our eyes and see what we really want, maybe we may just see how it doesn't want us, but the real question we should all be thinking is do we really need it? How will it affect others? I'm I at risk? What are the consequences?
