Mina's hair fell down her back as she sat up from her bed. Her room was grey and she hated it. Being in a small space was one of her worst fears but for the past 5 years she learned to keep calm. In a couple days she was going to be 18 to the ark. Mina was actually really 19 years old soon to turn 20. Her mother hid her for 2 years before telling the ark about her new child. Although she could pass as a 17 year old due to her height. Mina was always small which help her mother hide her. After her mother was floated for committing the crime of stealing extra food Mina lived only with her father, Philip Ricci. He was one of the guards. Strong, Independent, Loyal, and protective but he wasn't good enough to protect his daughter. She was uncontrollable and she was the definition of Rebel.

The door to her room opened with a hiss revealing three guards one holding a metal box the others stalking toward her with serious expressions.

"Inmate 132," one of them said. "Face the wall."

Mina looked up in shock but shrugged getting up and doing as they said. She knew her death was in a couple days but she didn't think it would come early but she was okay with it. The waiting was killing her.

"You're a bad kid, Ricci. I'm surprised they haven't killed you yet. Good thing they've given you an even better punishment," the guard said yanking her arm and escorted her to the other guard holding the metallic box.

"What do you mean?" She asked with a raised eyebrow. He opened the box revealing a cuff and held it up examining it.

"Your dad should've taught you how to be a good girl. Maybe you could've been part of the guard like him but of course he raised a criminal," he said grabbing her arm and clamped on the cuff. It stung but she didn't dare show emotion. These were not her people. She didn't care what they had to say. She didn't care that they brought in the fact about her son of a bitch father.

"Criminals aren't born," she whispered looking at the floor beneath her. She looked up and grinned, "they're made."

A guard slammed his gun into her head and she fell to the dirty floor. Her eyes blurred and she was starting to slip away.

"That's true but criminals never get a happy ending, darling," he smiled down at her and she drifted off into sleep.
