Worth Saving

Mina was on the top level of the dropship along with Jasper with Clarke caring for them. Clarke insisted that they'd both make it. And of course Octavia was pissed at Bellamy but proud of her friend. She saved her brother.

"You okay," Bellamy asked his sister as he sat down next to her on the log near the fire.

"I will be. When both her and Jasper are safe. They both saved me, Bellamy. But Mina. She saved me so many times now. She's my best friend, Bell. I can't loose her," Octavia whispered.

"How," he finally asked.

*Flash Back*

"The food here sucks," Octavia sighed playing with her slop of food. Mina laughed sitting down with the younger girl. Mina was 16 (actually 18).

"Hmm...I don't call this stuff food," she answered. "But sometimes I like to pretend it's chocolate pudding."

The door hissed as it opened revealing a tall, pale, dark haired man, a guard. Matt Morner.

"Look the little sluts of the slums are conversing," he grinned stalking towards them. He stopped at the side of them and looked down at Octavia with a grin. He grabbed her hair and yanked her to her feet and Mina quickly got up to her feet.

"Let her go," she said through gritted teeth. Her hands were in tight fists at her sides and she was ready to strangle the bitch.

"She's been a bad girl, Mina. Bad girls need punishment," he grinned. "But this punishment should be fun."

"Let her go," Mina repeated.

"Why? What do you have to offer me, Criminal?" She looked at Octavia. She was innocent. She was good. Octavia didn't deserve to be thrown in jail then raped for being born.

"If you don't touch her once or harm her I will sleep with you until I'm floated and I won't tell a living soul," Mina said looking away from Octavia's pleading eyes not to do this. She had 2 years left.

Matt looked at Mina with narrow eyes.

"Fine," he said throwing Octavia to the floor. "I'll be back tomorrow right after lunch."

Matt left without a single word and Mina began eating her food again acting as if nothing had happened but Octavia wasn't going to let this slide.

"What did you do, Mina?!"

For a while Mina wouldn't look at Octavia. She knew what she was doing was right. She knew that Octavia was too nice to get hurt. Octavia was like a sister to her and she wanted to protect her. She didn't want anyone to mess with her. She wanted her to feel loved. She wanted her to be happy unlike Mina. She wanted Octavia to fall in love like every other normal girl. She wanted what was best for Octavia.

"I'm doing what I have to do. I'm not worth saving, Octavia. I know that, but you are worth saving."
