After katsuki said those words he felt a sting on his cheek and when he opened his eyes he was met with emerald orbs filled with tears
"kacchan are you an idiot?!"
Katsuki felt conflicted, his emotions where everywhere, his mind couldnt register what just happened, it was only a few seconds of silence yet it felt like he was standing there for eternity, rain started to fall covering the ground with water drops
Then katsuki spoke
"why arent you mad at me?"
"why dont you have a grudge against me?!"
"why do you still call me by that nickname you called me when we were kids?!"
"WHY THE HELL DO YOU NOT HATE ME?!" katsuki screams as he falls to the ground, his hair and clothes damp yet izuku was dry, it just reminded katsuki about his mistake, his karma he used to hate green, its always everywhere, even if its not wanted, he hated the fact that he was too prideful that he lost the only friend he ever had, and now karma is here to take his debt
Then izuku sat next to him as the sky starts to clear up again only with a few clouds in the sky
"why do I not hate you?" katsuki looks at him with teary eyes "yeah you use to torture me, hurt me, abuse me, yet... I always looked up to you, your explosions are dangerous... But beautiful... Youre always mad... But I can see the determination in your eyes when you say you want to be a hero, but there was one thing you were always right about... I am pathetic-" katsuki cuts him" n-no izuku youre not I am!" izuku gives a cheeky smile and tells him "let me explain kacchan, its because I always say I want to be a hero but, I never worked for it, I never trained, I never tried to find away, I guess I was just dreaming that maybe through time a quirk would appear in me, I was pathetic, you had every right to call me that" izuku looks back down
"but I never said I hated the time we had as friends right?" katsuki looks back at him with hopeful eyes and a tear streaked face
"how about me start over, my name is midoriya izuku, you can call me deku" izuku says with a smile and shows his hand infront of katsukis face "whats yours?"
"Im katsuki bakugo, but only you can call me kacchan, got it nerd" and he gives a toothy grin
Izuku fades from katsuki mind as finally he collapses with a smile knowing only one thing
"Ive both lost and gained a friend today"
