"Ne, ne, Okaasan," Reika called her mother.
"Yes, dear?"
Ten years old Reika Fueguchi stared at her hand, clutched with her mother's as Seira Fueguchi takes her to the study room. She turned her head behind, and she can see her brothers playing around and laughing with a boy from the Hanyu household. "Why can't I play with them?"
"My, you have etiquette class this afternoon. We can't just cancel it, right?" Her mother's voice was as elegant as ever.
"Why can't we? I want to play." Reika frowned, she yanked her hand out of her mother's grip and yell childishly, "I don't want to meet Sensei!"
Seira Fueguchi looked suprised, but she kept a smile on her face as she sat down to match her eye level with her daughter. "Reika, do you not like Sebastien-sensei?"
Reika shook her head. "That's not it."
"Then if we just cancel our appointment with him, he will get dissapointed, right? That's not good," Seira Fueguchi tried to pursuade her.
"...Hmm." Reika clenched her hands, keeping her head down.
"Besides, Reika promised to go to the tea party with Okaasan tomorrow, right?" She rubs her daughter's hair. "Then you need to learn about tea party etiquettes."
"Okay. Let's go." Reika rose up and continued walking. Occasionally, she peeped to her back. Her brothers, Jun and Ken seemed to have fun playing games with that Hanyu boy. What was his name again?
The next day, the Hanyu family and the Anzu family came to their house. The Hanyu couple brought their daughter and son–whom Reika saw yesterday–, and the Anzu couple brought their daughter. The Fueguchi household host the tea party on the garden, there sat a bored Reika Fueguchi.
Reika stood by her mother side when she rose up, and bowed to the guests in front of her.
The daughter of the Anzu family was quiet the whole time. She looked beautiful with her dress, and her hair was let loose down her shoulder. In contrast with Reika, who had her hair up into a bun and wore a simple patterned kimono. Saaya Hanyu also dressed the same, but she braided her hair instead.
The Hanyu boy—Reika had discovered that his name was Yuzuru, looked as bored as she is. Heck, even more. He looked like he wanted to be anywhere but here. And sure enough, after a good ten minutes of formalities, Yuzuru Hanyu sneaked out with her brothers, Jun and Ken.
Reika looked at the grown-ups in shock. How could they just let them sneaked out like that? But they brushed it off as "boys will be boys."
She hated this. She wanted to go and play too. Her mother seemed to sense this, as she whisper to Reika's ear. "Reika, you can't sneak out with them."
"Why?" Reika whispered back.
"You are a lady, dear." Seira Fueguchi convinced her.

"Reika-sama! Don't run around on the hall, you can hurt yourself." A servant girl stopped Reika, and cleaned her kimono that had caught dirt.
"Do you see my brothers?" Reika asked her, excited.
"Jun-sama and Ken-sama? I think they're in their room with Yuzuru-sama."
Reika bursted into her brothers' room, and found Jun and Ken playing playstation with Yuzuru. "Oniisan!"
"Rei-chan!" Jun smiled at his little sister. "What is it?"
"I finished my piano lessons! I want to play with you guys!" Reika sat besides Yuzuru, in front of her brothers.
"Whoa, I don't think this game is for you." Yuzuru quickly put his joystick down. Reika squinted her eye to read what game they're playing. GTA: San Andreas
"What's GTA?" Reika asked innocently, a wide smile still attached on her face.
"A little lady doesn't need to know that," Yuzuru laughed.
"Hmph," Reika pouted. "It's not like you're much older than me!"
"I'm fifteen, a high-schooler! And you're like what, seven years old?" Yuzuru teased her.
Reika gasps. "I'm ten years old!"
"Oh hoo, ten years old, a proper lady now, aren't ya?"
"Oi Yuzu," Ken held back his chuckles. "Stop teasing my sister."
"Yeah," Jun pulled Reika to a hug, which Reika happily hugged back. "Let's not play this anymore. Rei-chan what do you want to play?"
"Oh you spoiled little lady," Yuzuru laughed, messing around with Reika's hair.
"Rei wants to play—"
Reika opens her eyes. She blinks a few times to completely wakes up from her slumber. Once she's fully awake, she feels her whole body is stiff and uncomfortable.
Oh. Oh. She looks down, where Yuzuru rests his head on her thigh. Last night she let Yuzuru use her lap as pillow, but he seemed to fell asleep. Reika didn't have the heart to wake him up, so she didn't move her legs an inch and stayed still the whole night so that Yuzuru can have a good sleep.
She can't even feel her legs now.
Reika had a weird dream. "Was it a dream.. or a forgotten memory of mine?" She wonders as she runs her hand through Yuzuru's hair.
"So what game did I want to play again?" She whispers questions to herself. Her dream stopped there, leaving her curious.
"Hhnngghh." Yuzuru lets out a groan. He seems to be awake as he moves his head around. His hair rubbing on Reika's thigh makes her ticklish.
Yuzuru rises up from his sleep and sits crookedly. His eyes flutter opens slowly as he turns to her. "Did we seriously fell asleep on the couch?"
