(Y/N)'s P.O.V.

It was night. I was cold. The grass tickled my spine, as I walked across a dark forest. I had not eaten anything for two days and I was really hungry.

"I could eat a whole zebra," I thought to myself.

I was just about to continue walking, when I heard a loud rumbling sound. I jumped into a nearby bush and looked at the horizon. I saw huge clouds, with lion heads. I couldn't believe my eyes. I looked down and shook my head.

"That can't be true. Come on wake up!" I said to myself.

I closed my eyes. I was tired. I could not stop thinking about the clouds. Then I heard a crack. It sounded like someone stepped on a tree branch. I quickly lifted my head above the grass and looked around. I didn't see anybody. Then I heard another crack. This time the sound came from behind me.

"Who's there?" I said, but nothing happened.

"Who's there?" I said again, this time a little louder.

Now I could see something in the grass. Something yellow. I quickly got as low as I could. Then all went quiet. All I could hear was my own heart beating wildly inside me. I waited for what felt like an eternity. Then I heard how the grass moved. First in front of me, then behind me. My heart started to race.

I was about to shout again, when I happened to look up. I saw a white, yet pretty small bird flying in circles above me.

"What the-" Before I even finished my sentence, someone pounced at me from the grass. We landed, I hit my head on a rock and the last thing I saw was a blurry red and yellow figure. Then I passed out.

I felt cold water running across my face.

"wha- where am I?" I said with a muffled voice.

"You are in the pride lands," someone said.

I could not see clearly. All I saw was a brownish stone wall, that had multiple paintings on it. I tried to stand up, but as soon as I did I felt very dizzy.

"You really did hit that rock pretty hard," I heard someone say.

Now I was able to see clearly again. I was surrounded by some animals. A cheetah, a hippo, a honey badger, and a lion.

"who a-are you?" I asked.

"I'm Kion and this is the lion guard," the lion said.

I just laid there, staring at them.

"so, uhh.. what's your name?" the bird asked.

"(Y/N). My name's (Y/N).

"That's a nice name," the hippo said.

"Look, I uh.. I'm sorry I pounced at you before," Kion said with guilt in his voice.

"It's okay, Kion. Everyone makes mistakes," I said to him as softly as I could.

He smiled at me, and i smiled back.

"Well, I guess you should rest now," Kion said to me while walking towards the entrance of the cave.

"Yeah. I guess you're right," I said to him before I closed my eyes.

After they left, everything went quiet.

I smiled and fell asleep.

Hi Matthew here! So uhh.. This is my first time writing anything, so... yeah.. Anyways I wanted to try writing something like this just because I like the lion guard A LOT.
