A small breeze swirls around in the air making the mighty tree branches over head tremble, their green leaves rustled with each passing. The straws of grass cast into shadows by the large plants towering above them, droplets of dew weighed each strand as small patches of sunlight made them glisten. Small flowers sprouted in the peace of a new season, colors ranging from pastel yellows and purples to dark tranquil blue. This was much different than what it was a mere few days ago, and the scent of rain seemed to still drift in the air some trees still holding Springfulls of water an occasional drop cascaded down sprinkling the dark chocolate wood bellow.

A tall magnolia tree towered over the rest its large white flowers taking center stage of the large forest. It was one of the oldest trees, none can remember a time when it was not there budding in the new season of a new year. The snow and bitter cold of winter having been long forgotten as the sun bought a much welcomed warmth over the villages that littered the large continent, each one holding its own charm. Some where small fishing wharfs with large docks and wooden boat like houses straw roofed canopies weaved together to protect the porches and "streets" of the village: others where like cabins with small fruit stands littered them and being surrounded by the lush canopies of woods, or even high hilltop clay built buildings sharing a similar hay like guard above their doors to help filter the sunlight and protect them from any other elements that could be brought upon them.

The world was filled with promise and all were hopeful of the crops to come and life to be lived. From small villages to large towns and cities, Pokémon of every possible size and species thrived.

It was in the outskirts of one of these forest villages that our story begins.

A small monkey like creature darted across the ground his tan and firy-brown colors blurred slightly as he darted towards a tree his bright blue eyes stole a glance back as the dew sprang up and clung to his coat.

Behind him is his best friend-practically brother, scythe a snivy, chased him. The grass type almost perfectly blended in with the grass and plant life around him, except for his bright yellow fronds?(he would need to ask him later) and pale ruby red eyes where the only thing that made him stand out.

Two dark aqua colored vines came out from him and made their way towards the chimchar and that's when the monkey realized his mistake and went to dart away only to trip his foot kicking something hard as his body tumbled over whatever it was landing on his side. When his eyes looked up to see what had tripped him only to find, it wasn't a what, it was a who.

All he saw was a dark blue form with two orangy-yellow feet, a small two spiked tail towards their back, and two flippers that were a light baby blue splayed out across the ground. He found the place he kicked rather easily and winced, a dark purple color was forming on the back of what he could only presume was their head.

Scythe was now beside him and tapped him with his small arms before looking at what had happened and gave his companion a look.

The form slowly sat up lifting a flipper to where they had been kicked and gently caressed the wound. The two knew exactly what kind of Pokémon this is, a piplup. They haven't seen too many, and it was quiet strange to them to find one asleep in the woods...alone.

When they opened their eyes they completely froze, staring directly at the two in front of them. The water type quickly scooted away, eyes filled with fear and anxiety. Questions blared through her head, she couldn't recall anything she felt lost. Her eyes darted around in attempt to grip at her surroundings, heart hammering inside her chest.

The piplup before them started to tremble, their breaths fast and shallow, their whole being seemed tense and on edge.

The fire type could only stare wide eyed, and quickly looked at his friend who gently approached her and sat beside her and tried to feel her pulse and as soon as he did that he slowly removed his leafy hand and looked over at him.
