Out of all the things in this life, the arranged pairing was not one of them she had wanted. She didn't care what could happen. The fact some get matched up with the love of their lives. It's cute, that part at least. Only, she didn't want to be with anyone else that was not the man in her own pack. The black haired girl knew the different details. Stories that's been passed around for years, it's brought up a lot. Every she has heard the stories. Warned of the different things. She had listened silently when the others would talk even as a pre teenager. It's a 50/50 chance of finding that person. Nine times out of ten, it's the female wolf who falls for her mate. The only one who falls. She didn't want that for a life. She wanted to be free and a rogue, happy with the life she has. Even if it meant being disowned by everyone she ever knew.
Or worse, killed for her actions. Besides, she had already found her mate. She loves him. As soon as she turned eighteen that morning, she had plans to beg her father the Alpha of his own pack to allow this pairing. She would throw a fit at all costs. She won't take no for answer.
Only her dear sweet father had other plans.
As soon as midnight hit, she was dragged out of the lavender bedroom she had called hers for so long. Posters from different bands covered the walls. If it was anyone else, he wouldn't stand for it but she's the princess, the Alpha's child.
Well she was.
As she's put in the pack's van, tears roll down her cheeks. Her eyes darting to the only other person's she's ever loved in her life besides her family, that male wolf who had plans to run far away with her if it didn't work out. He would wait desperately for the answer and her heart broke at the fact he would never know. He would never get the answer.
At the fact, they would never get the chance. Nor did they ever stand that chance. Such a tragic end for the couple in this storybook of her life and his.

She had fought the whole way over. Despite the tears in her eyes, she fought. Lashing out the man who had signed away every single freedom as soon as he could to her life. She knew it was tradition. She grew up on that. She learned about it the moment she was old enough to do so in the pack's school.
If only her father held her to a higher standard. If only she could have been like the woman who had been her teacher, she got the man she wanted. She mated to him. She wanted that for herself. Why couldn't she have that? Oh yeah, the arranged ordeal she didn't want. The traditions and treaties. Boy did Twilight get that shit wrong.
Her arms are crossed, a permanent resting bitch face as she stares at the ground. Let's her father do what he had plans to do. She refuses to talk. She refuses to be doing anything that showcases she wants to be here. She doesn't. She hates it here. She can't stand it here.
