Melanie looked at Nick and his friends and said in a shaky voice “My father’s in the hospital, due to a heart attack.” Lexi caught on immediately and looked like she might cry at any second. Ben and Alex comforted her Justin and Will put hands on Melanie’s shoulders. Nick looked sad for them and said “You need a ride to the hospital?” Ben spoke this time “No, we will take them. Will, will stay here and keep you in touch.” Will nodded and stepped toward Nick. Melanie’s lip started to quiver and Justin wrapped her in his arms. “Let’s go” He said. Melanie felt something warm run down her cheek and Nick stepped forward to comfort her and Alex said “We better go.” Nick stepped back and Melanie, Lexi started to walk away with the guys and she noticed she was still crying and Lexi was to. Melanie had no clue why. They got to their cars and Melanie heard in her ear. “No trailers. Your good to go” Melanie knew the voice, Will. They drove home and Mr. Herlson met them outside. “You kids got anything?” Melanie wished he wouldn’t call them kids. Alex stepped forward and said “Melanie found a crack at the bottom of the pool that shifted every couple of minutes and a tattoo on all of Nick’s friends. It said ‘mom’ though. Nothing else” Mr. Herlson looked unsatisfied with them. Melanie was still crying. Lexi nudged her and said “You don’t have to cry anymore.” Melanie nodded and said “I can’t stop them. It’s nothing really, I just can’t stop.” Melanie started laughing while she was whipping her tears. Lexi looked at her and they excused themselves and went to their room. When they got their Melanie’s crying stopped and it turned to whimpering. Lexi pulled out her laptop and began typing. “Lexi, we need to go back to Nick’s house and check out his pool.” Melanie said that like she was unsure of what was to come. Lexi stopped typing and looked up. “I agree with you one hundred percent. Let’s go back in two days and in the mean time we need to train hard incase” Melanie nodded and rolled onto her bed. Why was she unable to stop crying for so long? She was so confused. Melanie did the only thing she thought she could do and prayed. “Dear heavenly father, I pray to know why am I so sad, what is this whole in my heart? You are the only one who can stitch it up. Please help me find a way, your way. Protect my family and friends tonight, send your angels to protect them and me. In your name I pray, amen.” Melanie felt a little better. She was thinking about her whole experience. She was thinking about something when sleep overtook her. Melanie was having the weirdest dream. She was two years old and playing in her room. Her mom came into the room and told her to come to the park with her. Melanie gladly accepted and went with her mom. Her mom was pregnant with Mark. Melanie and Alex were at the car in two seconds when Melanie saw a man walking his dog outside. He looked weird, suspicious. Melanie was staring at him with her Kristal blue eyes. Alex was pushing her into the car when her pink and yellow dress got caught in the door. She stepped back and it ripped. Alex pushed her into the car completely and Melanie didn’t notice the rip in her clothes. The man was standing right outside their house now. Melanie was scared. Their mom came and got into the car and they drove on. Melanie’s eyes were glued to the man. He walked closer to the house and then the house was out of view. Melanie forgot quickly. She was excited to be going to the park. When they got their Melanie was the first person out of the car. She ran towards the monkey bars and then saw another stranger looking at her. She was confused. She was two so she kept running to the monkey bars. Her mom and Alex were running behind her trying to keep up. Their mom was catching up to Melanie and then wrapped her in her arms. Melanie giggled and squirmed. They were playing at the park for another hour when their mom said it was time to go. Melanie and Alex whined and tried to get their mom to let them stay a little bit longer. She refused and told them they could have a Popsicle when they got home and Melanie an Alex caved. They were walking back to their car when the strange man leaned over and said “Ma’am you dropped this.” Melanie’s mom leaned over and pulled the paper out of his hand. She thanked him with a mean look on her face. Melanie looked up “Mommy, let’s go get my Popsicle.” It came out differently like “Mommy, yets go gets my popsicle” Her mom laughed and said “Ok, honey lets go.” Her mom leaned over and whispered into the man’s ear and Melanie looked at him one more time. He had a tattoo on his side and she couldn’t make the letters out. She looked closer and saw the letters more clearly. ‘W.W.I.’
