Part 10: The Seven Cubes Of Power

Icarus POV

Icarus: Hanzō was the elder of my village a few years back...

Daidōji: So he's the one who last used the cubes?

Icarus: Yes, he had all of them with him 20 years ago when a fire broke out in my village.  It had been centuries since anybody had used them last, so he had no idea if using the cubes would even work...

Flashback

I was standing in the middle of my village every building around me was engulfed in flames.  I watched him run out of the town hall with 7 cubes in his hands and the cubes levitated around him as he raised his hand to the sky and bellowed out

Hanzō: I WISH FOR THE FIRES TO SUBSIDE AND FOR EVERYONE TO BE UNHARMED AND SAFE!

The sky glowed white before the fires slowly started to diminish in size.  He looked towards me as I stared in wonder as the fires died down around me.

Hanzō gathered the townspeople who's wounds had magically healed.  He declared that while using the cubes he saw a vision of all of the past uses of them. 

They were too powerful to be kept together.  He had travelers take them all over the country to hide them away so nobody could use their immense power for anything.  He kept one of the cubes for himself incase he needed them again, that cube was...

Present Time

Daidōji: My guess is that was the yellow cube that as supposed to be in Y/N's closet?

Icarus: I watched him put in that lockbox all those years ago, I searched the whole house until I found the box.

Daidōji: Who do you think gave it to you in that briefcase then?

Icarus: I don't know... but somebody knows that I'm collecting the cubes now...

Y/N's POV

We got back to the school and as I got out of Daidōji's car, I saw Tachibana running towards Icarus and I.

Tachibana: Icarus!  How've you been, bro?

Icarus: Good, Tachi, I heard you got to know Y/N over the past few days-

Tachibana: Why didn't you tell me you learned how to drum?!

Icarus: Shit, I was gonna surprise you.  Well now that you know, I guess we can play together then.

Tachibana: Got to use my angry Irish voice on the trip too.

Icarus: Damn, what did you yell?

*Cue the clip from last chapter*

Icarus: Damn.

Daidōji: Let's head back to your place, Y/N, you want to come, Tachibana?

Icarus: We have beer and weed if that's enough to convince you.

Tachibana: Sure, I'll bite. 

We all went back to my place for the night for some much needed rest and relaxation.

Asuka: Tachibana's been getting pretty close with Y/N, right?

Imu: That's correct.

Minori: So she thinks she can just steal him away from us?  We have to teach them a lesson.

Leo: Right, I saw them walk back to Y/N's place with some guy and Daidōji.
