The chime of a soft tune rang throughout the room as I sleepily opened my eyes and reached for my phone. I glanced at the screen to see my mother's name at the top. I answered the phone with a groggy, "Good morning Mama." She replied in a peppy tone, "Good morning sweetheart! How are you doing?" I held back a groan. I'm not in the mood for this today. It's only six in the morning for goodness sake. "Not too great actually. What's up?" I asked. "Well, I know it has been a little rough now that your brother is gone, but I want to help you get back on your feet! I remembered that you have been looking for a job, and I found something you may be interested in." She explained.

About a week later I took the job interview and I was feeling pretty good about it. As I sat down to eat dinner that same night, I got a call from the employer. I eagerly picked up my phone and greeted the person on the other line. "Hello?" He cleared his throat. "Evening miss. I'm glad to inform you that we think you are a perfect fit for the job. How soon can you start?" I smiled to myself and joyfully asked, "How does next week sound?" "That sounds great. I'll see you Monday morning, seven o'clock sharp." He told me. "Yes sir. Thank you so much." I hung up as I practically jumped out of my seat and danced around my small kitchen. "Yes!" I exclaimed.

That night I slept peacefully for the first time in a while. The next morning I called my mother to thank her for this job opportunity. "I'm so thankful that you know me so well. Thanks Mom!" She giggled. "Of course dear. You know that you are my whole world. I would do anything for you." I smiled and thanked her again before hanging up and greeting the day with a new feeling of energy and excitement. Soon enough Monday came around and I was jumping from room to room in my apartment trying to get ready for a day of work. After pulling my jacket on and grabbing my keys, I drove off to my new place of work.
