Chapter 1- Return to Hogwarts
"(Y/N)!!!"
I looked around in search of the voice that called my name, it was quite difficult considering the train station was packed with all sorts of people and I had yet to cross over onto 9 ¾ platform. I struggled with carrying my baggage which consisted of my cat shaped backpack, a rolling suitcase, a giant wooden chest and my most important carrier, which held my precious Maine coon cat, King. Yes, I named him King but hear me out. His fur is a gorgeous deep orange brown that glows when he sits in the sun and his eyes are a striking amber, gold. He's my best friend and loyal companion. I plan on letting him out once I make way onto the Hogwarts express, because no way in the dark forest will my child be locked up with all those other smelly, flea bitten pests.
"(Y/N)!!!"
"WAAAHH!" I shouted when a girl suddenly embraced me. I shook her off quickly and prepared for a fight but I calmed down when I realized it was just one of my best friends, Honey. A sweet Hufflepuff prefect, with golden honey hair and warm brown eyes with cute freckles scattered all over her face.
"S-sorry! I didn't mean to scare you. Do you need help? I have some space on my trolly," Honey apologized.
"Geez Honey! You know scaring me is not safe, you could've gotten hurt! And yes I would love some help," I huffed in annoyance. As she pulled her trolly closer to me I lifted my wooden chest onto the empty spot on her trolly. I picked up King's carrier and placed it gently on top and walked beside him as we headed to the brick wall.
"So are you excited?!" Honey asked excitedly. "I know I am! We're going to be 5th years! Practically the top dogs-"
"Ew. First off do not compare me to a drooling mutt and second of course I'm excited about Hogwarts, who wouldn't be?" I spoke loudly, over the crowd of bustling people.
"It was just a metaphor, you meany. Anyways who's going first?" Honey asked.
"I'll go," I said. I gathered my what I was carrying and leaned against the wall, slightly falling backwards until I turned expertly onto the platform and there it was. The steaming black and red train that would take me to my favorite place of all time and I smiled as I picked out all the confused first years, the nervous second years, the think they know it all third years and the helpful fourth years. All the higher grades were too busy getting their things onto the train and picking out the best spots to sit. I turned and smiled at Honey who just crossed over and she smiled excitedly, her pearly whites gleaming. I laughed at her and we made our way to the train.
"(Y/N)!!! HONEY!!!"
I looked at Honey who was waving energetically at someone in an open window. The spot closest to the door and the best spot.
"HI SIMON!!! IS RIA THERE?!" Honey shouted back.
"YEAH SHE'S GLARING AT ME!!" Simon shouted back, looking over his shoulder to see one of our best friend glaring daggers into his back. Ria hated loud noises and the trip to Hogwarts was always, always so loud. She closed her book and walked over to the window, waving quietly.
"Haha! HI RIA! SORRY FOR DISTURBING YOU!!" Honey apologized. She does that, a lot. I smiled, grabbed King and made my way the open car door, carefully making my way up the steps and to our cabin. Ria and Simon helped with the larger stuff and like a game of tetris, managed to fit everything into the overhead compartments and under our seats. I unhinged King's carrier and smiled as he meowed his thanks, stretching and licking himself before hopping onto my lap, purring quietly. I began petting his fur as he slept.
"So how was your summer break?" Simon asked.
"Well I had so much fun! My little sister, Chamomile was born-"
