Meeting Him

3 years. 1095 days. 1576800 minutes. That's how long I've been in this awful place. I've lasted the longest out of most of the other girls besides a couple. When I showed up there were 30 girls here. Now there is only 14 of us. Some are new. Some have been here longer than me.

They have us separated in cage like placings. The front of the "room" is wire so they can see us at all times and they have sheets stapled over plywood that separates us from the person next to us. The room is about 10 feet wide and 10 feet long. I measured it with my feet one day when no one was looking. Each room has a bucket, a sink, and a old mattress. 7 on one side and 7 on my side. We have old sheets and blankets with holes in them and the pillows are hardly thicker than the blankets.

"Rose!" Sam shouted. He's the night watch. His job is to constantly walk up and down the hall checking on us and making sure no one tries to kill themselves or break out. I've tried both. He isn't very fond of me. After I got here I started acting out. I tried killing myself 3 times within 3 weeks. Each time Sam saved me and each time I told him to let me die. He just kept saying he couldn't. I never knew what he meant by that and he would never tell me.

My second year here The Boss started showing his face more often to check up on us girls. One day he walked to my room door and opened it. He walked in and just stood there, staring at me. After standing there for about 5 minutes, he walked out. I noticed Sam didn't shut the lock all the way though, so that night, I broke out. Sam ended up catching me. I didn't know where I was going so I ran straight out of the barn they were holding us in and to the closest house, sadly for me, that happened to be The Boss' estate. Sam caught me before The Boss saw me and took me back to my room.

That night is when I quit acting out and I quit trying to escape. Sam sat me down and threatened me. He told me that if The Boss caught me trying to escape again or if I kept acting out, he would find my family and kill every one of them and bring me back a part of their body; forcing me to look at them everyday by hanging them in my room. That threat alone made me lose all hope of getting away. I settled down and just did as I was told. Until 5 days ago.

I see his shadow getting closer and closer and his footsteps are getting louder and harder. He's angry about something. Hopefully he didn't notice I haven't eaten in 5 days.

"Why haven't you eaten your dinner Rose?" he asked pointing to the tray I tried hiding.

"I'm not eating," I said shrugging my shoulders. I was definitely going to get into trouble. That's what I'm going for. They won't let me kill myself. So maybe I can get them to kill me.

The only problem with that plan, I'm the best girl. Even though they are basically starving us in here, I'm not skin and bones. I still have meat on my bones. My boobs are big and so is my butt. I'm the only girl in here with brown hair and green eyes. My skin is a beautiful tan color and my face is full of freckles and zit free.

I was blessed with great features. If only I could've had a boyfriend and gotten to experience it before my own best friend ripped that opportunity away from me.

3 years ago today my "best friend" Emma took me to a party where her and her boyfriend drugged me and kidnapped me. I shouldn't of went. I knew something was off when she started distancing herself. She'd take her phone calls into another room and would start snapping at me constantly. She invited me to a party and I wanted us to get back to what our friendship was before, so I went. I didn't know she'd drug me.
