No Way Back
"Sire!" Seadra called as he broke past the guards like himself and flew into the main castle. It didn't take much time for him to make through the halls, bumping into a few guards when turning a sharp corner. Luckily, as he expected he met the Lord Zoroark and his many warriors there. Serious warriors. Master of ice magic Aesach Glailie. Great Alchemist Hugo Jumpluff. Supreme Covert Agent Bezeer Greninja and others he didn't knew much about. "Sire!" He called again, interrupting everyone's concentration around the table. "Sire, I arrived with an urgent report!" He stopped, slightly panting from the rush.
Zoroark has already had his look raised at Seadra. He looked serious as always, but his eyes slightly flashed with fear and only one in the room had noticed this. It was his right claw, the most trusted of them all. His war partner, Kalah, the Charizard who glanced at Zoroark to notice his almost perfectly masked worry. She decided to have a talk with him soon and then looked at the Seadra too, when Zoroark spoke with him. In much like his expression, formal voice. "We are listening,"
Seadra took control of his own slightly stuttering voice and announced. "The enemy's army has reached the far south hill, mi lorde!" The sudden ambience transformed in the hall and all the warriors were giving eachother questioning looks, most of them looking at Zoroark waiting for his reaction. It did not change. He took his paws away from the table and behind the back, stood straight. His white uniform overcoat stood out for everybody to see. With red lining showing off his male build. On his back was Lojísian emblem from scarlet and golden lines interlooping with eachother in a regal style. Though covered by his knee long mane. Just to the length of the overcoat tail. "We were preparing for this. Gentlemen! To your platoons! Prepare them for the final battle! Siege defense scenario four!" Some of the warriors widened their eyes. Scenario four is the most difficult siege defense formation and it is known to be the most effective all-out strategy that has never been used in real life scenario until this time. Kalah, was watching Zoroark with an edge of her eye, but he did not return the look, even if he felt he was watched. "Guards! Back to your posts! Call all the soldiers! Fuse the gates! The enemy is strong, but it is us who are written down as the victorious people in the prophecy of Yehvu!"
His voice thundered all of a sudden together with a cyan glow on his crystal orb on the mane and his eyes. Kalah knew he used Illusion, but did not judge him for that. Warriors seemed rallied and they stood up from the table unsheathing their weaponry, knowing the drill. "Rally your troops! Prepare them for one last hard battle!" He unsheathed his silver redlined rapier and pointed it to the middle of the table, everyone repeating the same, making a star of blades above the table. "The stars will lead us to victory!" Warriors growled with motivation. "The better world is blessed to us all! We are!" Zoroark growled from the depths of his throat, everyone raising the blades up and finishing the sentence in acceptable, yet so rallying unison. "The Carriers of Light!" Upon the finish of rally all the warriors dashed out of the room to prepare for the siege, but when the sound of rushing feet and armour clanging stopped, only Kalah and Zoroark were left in the room.
"Kalah, this is not how it should all have happened..." Zoroark's voice wavered as he was looking at the empty table with maps for strategizing spread out all over. Kalah approached the fox not pulling her look away from him and once the distance was closed, he gave her scared look. "Not now. Not when we are like this. We are not prepared..." "Just like them. They have just as much chances to win as we-" "That's the thing, Kalah," he interrupted, turning his look away. Eyes darting in every corner, ears folding down. "We both pushed ourselves to nothing. Do you know what happens when two desperate armies meet?.." He looked again at Kalah with even more terrified look. She did not say anything, but just turned her look elsewhere. Deeper concern appeared in her eyes. Seeing this Zoroark pressed his head to the table, truly suffering it inside. Claws on his head. "I am literally guiding my people to painful death-" "For what, Flex?" She asked, knowing that it is all worth it. "For what? Is it acceptable to act like that with people for such a thing?" Kalah put her claws on Flex's shoulder. "I think it is. The whole world will forever be in peace. Therefore, there is nothing we can lose," Flex opened his one eye to look at Kalah upside down, due to how he held his head. "Flex, you're the one who knows best what is good and what is bad," she glided her claw down his arm to his large paw and gripped it, Flex willingly holding her claw too. "Just do not lose yourself," he looked at the red and ivory claws holding together, then at her calcite orange eyes, after which he stood up, released the claw and they both went to gear up... It all seemed like madness. The faint shout in his heart asking to stop. To surrender. But then what were all these years for? He shunned the thought. Everyone believes in him, no matter how dire it is... he could not forget the magenta eyes he knew he will witness this very day before him... he never wanted to fight her... but he must.
[Half an hour ago... behind the furthest Southern hill seen from Lojisían Fort]
"This is it..." she finally spoke up as the army behind her halted. Young Salazzle dressed in green cheongsam with white lining and some leather belts and armguards for minimal protection. "The last point where we can decide," everybody was silent though. She turned around to see her army. She held a brave smile, but inside she was suffering a heartache. Neat ranks of fliers, chargers, footers and surfers were all orderly formed previously, but here... colourful scattered mess, that had an attempt to form, but it still, does not look so effective as they used to. She could tell what faces were missing, and how many of them. Filled gaps, in which were so many more soldiers... and it is all because of her...
She gave her soldiers a confident smile. "Lojisíans, as you will see them now are the most vulnerable. We chose this time, because it is our great chance to have our victory," she made the platoons silence and carefully listen. "In the prophecy of Yehvu, this day is seen as the day of our victory! The day of our arrival!" The army seemed rallied as some of them could not contain themselves and make a cry. "The day when we will bring the better future!" Intelleon in light gear approached the Salazzle, they exchanged the lovely gazes. "Zicherian winds!" The army cried and Salazzle growled back. "We are the wind!" "And we will blow the evil away!!!" The lizards quickly glanced at eachother again... Intelleon noticed what was happening inside her. Her heart was tearing apart for what she was about to say. Just one word to make so... so much blood and pain and tears. She had to. There was no other choice. Intelleon did not stop her. She turned around to the Lojisían Fort, unsheathed her katana pointing at it and screamed. "Onwards!" As her scream was followed by a mighty war cry, starting up rumble and swooping and metal clanging. The pokemon were dashing past the lizards at great speed. Big stomping the ground and small being on top them. The siege assault began. There is no way of stopping it now.
It looked powerful, though... she knew that this may not be enough to break the siege. In the midst of a charge she looked at Intelleon with a sad look. Nobody can stop them now... she said the word. "Vex, you know what will happen when we win," he said with his soft and low tone, but Salazzle only sighed. "It is only if... no matter that we win. Do you know how many will..." "Don't blame yourself, hun-" "Fiumel," they interrupted eachother. Now nobody speaks. Something unusual in their relationship. "...So what are you going to do now then?" Their words spoke in the ambience of a mighty charge. Intelleon crossed his arms... Vex held her sigh, there was nothing else she could really do.
Salazzle then started looking around for someone. There was Sudowoodo mounted on an Electivire... a flying Weezing... many different pokemon, all armoured and armed, until she spotted a lone Zebstrika coming her way. She looked at Fiumel again... she only wanted to be in peace and love. She truly wishes, that after this battle, she will live happy and merry with him... Even if chances were slimmer than a paper sheet. She quickly approached her lover, pulling him into a deep and hot kiss, but just for short, to pull away, give a last gaze and mount on a running Zebstrika. "We will see eachother soon!" Fiumel called to her disappearing lizard... she felt terrible... this might be the last kiss she ever had... the last time she saw her love... felt his loving touch... But then the lingering image of Fiumel's charming eyes was changed by the other eyes... jet black slitted pupils, swimming in a pool of light blue iris... so familiar, yet so distant. She will have to fight him, her heart suggested... she does not want to...
