Previously we witnessed the two opposing nations lead their forces out on eachother for the final clash. On it depends the very future of the world. However, both sides are as never hesitant. Nobody has advantages, only disadvantages. Everyone weakened and tired, leaders losing their hopes. Unfortunately, so called heroes made the choice and there is no backing away, from the obvious and inevitable pain. Just in hopes to make it better in the future.

Bloody Clash

With long and firm steps walked Zoroark, clad in scalemail. Down his hips went a long tasset made out of some draconic scales dyed in white. Behind swam his white cape in a menacing manner, especially with that bright red emblem on blinding white. The eyes, now smokey blue were looking with steel might. He was making his way to the landing tower, lead by the knights any less armed than himself. Mostly Fighting-types and other capable of being a mounted combatants. Empoleons, Gardevoirs, Poliwraths.

Out from the other side of the tower, went the fliers themselves. Pidgeots, Noiverns, Dragonites. In front of them, General Kalah Charizard, with her own plate armour going all the way from her head to the her tail. Her own armour was the most intricate of them all, shining plates engraved and painted with white and red patterns and the whole set completed with same coloured belts. All claws were elongated with attachable metal ones that scratched on the marble floor every time she stepped. Her helmet itself had extra fangs on them too.

Both parties met inside the huge and very spacious tower. It was more like a runway, rectangle in shape and had an open roof to the air. The knights picked their weapons while carriers were preparing to take their riders. There were lances, swords, axes. Some went without a weapon due to trusting their natural powers instead of weapons. Flex held the long bow in his claws. It was of simple design, but the shape and the golden colour suggested how special it was. Partia, the legendary bow. He wielded it. Preparation did not take much time when everyone was on their war partners and they all looked in front, the only section without a wall. There was the enemy army, dashing towards the main gates. Up a above them a swarm of enemy fliers. Flex put his helmet on, that had big white Swanna's wing feathers on it. Once there was less than half a mile from when the swarm flies above the gate Flex once again uses his Illusion to boost his voice and he roars. "The Carriers of Light!" "Up to the skies!" The entire squad called back and they all took off majestically.

It all changed too suddenly. When it was so mighty, brave and strong now does not give the same feeling of strength back. Flex saw it all. He saw how powerfully his knights slay the enemies from single accurate blows. He as well made lethal shots from his bow and Kalah's breath took down instantly, who got in the way, but it did not bring the feel of strength back. There was just too many of them. The clashing did not feel smooth. No tactical approach, no real formation. It was a mess. Meat grinder. He heard screams and painful death cries so close out from everywhere. Beedril that his friend nearby pierced with a lance through. Fearow, whose wing he himself pierced by his shot, making the bird and the rider Raichu begin their uncontrollable fall. In revenge, Raichu launched his last Thunderbolt that hit one of Flex's knights, stunning them for a moment. Someone took advantage and finished them off. Flex shot them while Kalah was contacted by another flier. She dealt with them. Hit, cries, blood. Hit, more cries, more blood. Another hit, another more cries, and another more blood. He did not even remember who he shot. His anxiety raised with every knight gone missing. Numbers were proportionally lowering... one kills another. There was no winning. Could that be avoidable? Could the peace be achieved without all of this?

Vex was now riding on Zebstrika, dashing towards the main gates that they planned to breach from the very beginning. That is why they keep chargers, melters and smashers protected behind the lines. They will do everything to destroy the gate and let themselves in. She was also glad that the fliers will take in all of the flying enemy knights. Why? She kept the reserve fliers close to ground units. She ordered them to get around the domain and attack from the opposite side, that way they will have no resistance in air and might breach into the main castle.

Once in range, Vex ordered for Fire-types to launch their attacks on the gate, making it start to heat and melt where they hit. Defensive line spread out, revealing chargers. Rhyhorns, Aggrons and Nidokings, with diggers on their backs. Chargers would bend and sometimes even break through the damaged parts of the gate, while diggers like Sandslashes and Onyxes would destabilise the ground beneath the gates. They managed to break through, but there was heavy ground resistance on that flank.

That was when Vex left the main attack group and caught an Aerodactyl on the way. She never stopped, making it look like she was everywhere, with everyone, but she had to disappear now. Aerodactyl was catching up with the group of get-around fliers. She was planning to get into the castle and seize the throne. Make Flex surrender once she wins it. She must... if he would have not many units inside the castle. She could guess about Flex's army's plans and predict them, just not himself. She could not know anything about him. He could have been with the front, with defense, or maybe coward and hide. It felt as if she could meet him anytime, anywhere. Maybe even right now. And this feeling intensified with every second deeper into Lojisían lair. What would she do if she met him? Eye to eye. She did not know if she could raise her claws on Flex, but she must. She must be ready to kill him. Her own brother. Oh please it not be her who does it. Her thoughts freak herself out. Who in the world could think that?

Flex was not thinking. His body was doing the killing. Purely automatically. His eyes became completely grey like the cloudy sky above them. There was no emotion, as if he was dead this entire time, but body still living. Only a female call made him perk up and he just now remembered to breath, think and see things. Hear. What was that? "Sir! Lord Flex!" With his body motion backwards he gave signal to Kalah to disengage while he held a half pulled bow, ready to shoot at incoming enemies. "What is it soldier?" He called, eyes darting in front, keeping watch not to be unexpectedly hit. Pin missiles just flew by, but that was not aimed at them. "Another flock of fliers is approaching the castle from the North!" A Dragonite called with male Clefable on her back. "What?!" Zoroark barked in surprise. How could that happen? They are trying to get into the most vulnerable part! I let myself turn around and see what happened... yes, there was a flock and that side is unguarded. An impact came from under Flex. Ice beam grazed Kalah by her metal plated chest. She whipcracked her wings, sending an Air Slash downwards from where the beam came. They could not rest for a second.

Flex's look caught on a Skarmory that had lost his rider not too long ago, but kept on fighting. "Chikeraii!" He called his name and got up. That made Kalah raise her brows and ask while looking out for dangers. "Where are you going, sir?" "Lead the castle defense!" He called back, aiming to mount a Skarmory. She could not leave Flex alone like that. She is usually the one who saves his skin. "Lord Flex, I cannot allow you to-" he leaped and landed on Skarmories back almost flawlessly. "Lead your troops, General!" He barked back, but he could not zoom away before she called again. "I must stay nearby as mu-" he interrupts her again, now growling and glaring back at her. "Do not fail me, General!" She could not say anything. Her eyes blinked heartbroken for a mere second when she looked away and called. "On it, sir!" She continued to have the active role in her group, rallying knights and dealing blows while Flex was darting back towards the castle. She knew why Flex was so hesitant to return to castle.

How could he not predict this manoeuvre? Of course they could not be that thin in numbers. They had reserves for more units. Without outer wall air defence, the last line would be the castle's defence, against that flock. Did not take long for him to realise - she will be there. She aims to takeover the castle. Not only that. There is still Belle in there. He started mentally shaming himself. How could he get her into this. Because of him, she might be killed now. He must stop them. If needed, kill Vex... He never wanted to say that. Nor think. There was no such thing possible to be thinkable all those years ago. When they were just a Zorua and Salandit. Why do we have to do this?

Why you?
