Chapter 5

Chapter 5-Surprises

I am still not feeling that well so if the quality is average please excuse it.

After the Nob meet up there were still plenty of them around but I really wanted to go and see Nina. Where I set up my meet up was pretty far away from the creatures’ but I knew that they were going to be finished soon so I had to get there quick before she left. Just before I could reach her a whole bunch of Nobs walked up and asked for my autograph.

“Ok here you go everyone.” I said as I signed the last one. She also gave me a piece of paper.

“What’s this?” I asked she just pointed at it and in huge pink letters were ‘My Phone Number, CALL ME! :D’ I was about to apologize and say that I couldn’t call her until I looked over to where Nina was but she had moved.

“God damn it.” I said. I also excused myself from the girls and walked away to try and find her. I met a whole bunch more of the Nob Kingdom and kept giving out autographs. Man was my wrist getting sore. I did a full loop of PAX however she wasn’t anywhere, so I walked back to the place where the Nob meet up was.

“Oh I’m sorry am I too late to the meet up?” asked Nina. I turned around and saw her sitting down on the bench.

“Not at all. I think the meet up has become private though. VIP only.” I said jokingly.

“Am I on the list?”

“You’re the only one on the list.” I said. She apologized about missing the meet up but that didn’t really worry me.

The day was coming to a close but I really couldn’t care less when Nina was by my side.

Josie’s POV

The next morning was hectic. I just learnt that the creatures had another few meet ups and that Seamus had to do something at the Machinima Booth. I knew I couldn’t come with him but I was fine.

“Are you sure you don’t want me to cancel? We could just walk around.”

“No it’s your job and I don’t want anyone to be disappointed because I didn’t want you to go.” I said. He gave me a sad look before he turned around and started walking away. I was hoping to explore PAX with Seamus but I could do it by myself. When I was walking I was seeing what was for offer. There were some awesome new games on display. There were even a few promotional jobs up for offer. Out of pure curiosity I started talking to all the people at the stalls. There was even one for the new Singstar game. I loved singing with my absolute whole heart. I began to walk towards the sign up sheet however I saw Nathan walking towards it to so I turned around and walked the other way.

I loved singing but I really didn’t want to talk to him.

A couple hours later they announced that they were going to call the people for the first few rounds. Even though I wasn’t in it, I would still love to go and Listen to everyone else.

“And our final round today we will have… Nathan Jones and Josie MacDiarmid”

I didn’t sign up! Why was my name being called? Then it hit me… He signed up for both of us.

“Hey you signed up! That’s awesome!” said Seamus who had just walked up.

“No I didn’t Nathan signed up for me.”

“Then lets go fix the situation.”

“No! I uh… I want to do it but only if you’re there to watch me.”

“Okay, I’ll be there to watch you kick his ass.” Said Seamus. In response I just nodded and gave him a huge smile. I knew what song would be perfect I just had to check that I could sing it in front of children. I checked that the contest was for teenagers only and we could sing whatever song we wanted. This was going to be epic.

Nina’s POV

After what seemed like an hour of searching we found Josie. She seemed really excited and why shouldn’t she be? I mean getting to humiliate Nathan in front of everyone. I already knew what song she was going to sing. I grabbed her arm and dragged her away from Seamus so she could practice.

After an hour of walking around I had an idea. In the Singstar comp it said groups of 2 or 3 were accepted. I could sing with her! I told her the idea and we ran off t go and find Aleks and tell him. Our round was last so we had time to practice and time to go and find our moral support.

It was nearing the end of the second last round and Aleks, Seamus, the Creatures and a few other YouTube celebs were around us. Nathan rushed in front of us so he could perform first and show off. Typically he sung a song directed towards Josie. My first kiss by 3OH!3. I rolled my eyes and when he finished I ripped the mic from his hands. “Ready to listen to some real singers?” The only response I got from that was a slight snicker before he walked past my and “accidentally on purpose” brushed his shoulder against Josie’s. She decided she was going to do something exactly on purpose too so she stuck out her foot and Nathan tripped over and landed face first on the floor. ”Sorry, I didn’t see you there. It’s like you’re invisible or something.”

It was our time to shine.

Seamus’ POV

”Sorry, I didn’t see you there. It’s like you’re invisible or something.” Said Josie. Aleks and I did a barely audible snicker. Then the two awesome girls on stage began to sing Grow a pear By Ke$ha

“Last night I had enough of you

I put on the brakes

And I can tell you took it hard

It was all over your face

I signed up for a man

She continued on and that made Nathan more furious by the second. I saw a few of his friends surround him and then I noticed they were all carrying weapons. One had brass knuckles, the other one had a knife and then they handed Nathan a gun. What the hell was he planning?
