Chapter 6

Josie’s POV

We finished the song and I don’t think I have felt this happy in a while. I walked down the steps as they announced the winners. Nina and I had won our round. When I walked over to go talk to Seamus he didn’t seem excited he seemed worried. I followed his gaze and he was staring at Nathan.

“Be careful and don’t go anywhere without someone else. Nathan’s planning something and it doesn’t seem good.” Said Seamus. I nodded however I wasn’t actually paying attention.

It was the end of the second day and it was time to go back to the hotel. I was meant to walk back with Aleks and Nina but I didn’t really want to be the third wheel so I walked ahead. I had just turned the corner when someone grabbed me. I looked up and it was Nathan. I was starting to struggle out of his grip until I felt something touch the side of my head. I just managed to make out what the strange object was. I was a gun and I don’t think it is fake. He let me go but I was to scared to run anywhere. “What are you doing?’ I said with a shaky voice.

“It’s payback time. Payback for all the damage you’ve done to me over the time we’ve been dating.”

“What have I ever done to you?”

“You’ve recently been cheating on me with that stupid idiot. Seamus was it? Then there re the times when you wouldn’t talk to me and you would cancel our plans so you could do something else.”

“I did those last things because YOU kept abusing me! And how can I be cheating on you? WE’RE NOT DATING!” I screamed at him. That was a really bad idea. He pulled the trigger and the bullet tore through my arm.

“Yes we are.” He said in a dangerous voice. Just as I thought I was going to die, I heard Nina scream as I blacked out.

My eyes opened and although my vision was blurry I could still see. I saw my friend gripping my hand and crying out for me to wake up.

Nina’s POV

I sat there crying for a while until I heard a voice. “What’s with the tears? You’re making my hand all wet and it’s really gross.” Said Josie with a weak voice. I only rolled my eyes and gave her a hug. I also told her that she could come out for the last day of PAX as long as she didn’t use her arm too much. I had asked the Doctor before I sat down to watch her if I could take her out for PAX. He had said yes but I really didn’t give him a choice.

“When does it start?” She asked

“In about 10 minutes.” I replied. She just started staring at me. “What?”

“Uh may be useful if you get out.”

“Yes bossy.” Literally three seconds after she had closed the door for privacy she got out fully dressed in the clothes I brought her.

“Stop gawking and let’s go.” She said grabbing my arm and dragging me out of the hospital. I was about to protest but at least she was using her right arm to drag me so she wasn’t agitating her other arm. I think she was excited for the competition today.

We arrived at PAX as we sadly reaslized this was the last day. We ran up to Aleks who was almost at the gates and pushed in front of him. “HEY! Oh sorry, oh yeah hey Josie how are you?”

“My arm’s being a bitch what about you?” Aleks and I both just laughed at Josie as we entered the gates.

“Josie I think Seamus wants to talk to you.” said Aleks as he turned around to face her but he could already see her searching for him. He told me he was going to go get us some snacks and candy for the last PAX day.

I then realized I should have stayed by his side because right after he left Dr Evil (Nathan) walked up. He started grilling me for information about where Josie was. Why did he want to know? He must’ve heard she was in the hospital so why should he be surprised. Unless he knew something. I kept telling him that I didn’t know but the he just became more and more fed up. He then threw me against the wall and started to strangle me.

“Hey! WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO HER!” I heard Aleks cry. My vision was going blurry but from what I could see Aleks was beating up Nathan. My throat was finally let go and my vision came back. Then two other guys about the same height as Nathan walked towards us. No one else seemed to be noticing. Then something happened. They just fell over and started twitching.

“200 Volts bitch.” Said Josie.

“You don’t have to do this!” said Nathan as she pointed both her tasers at him.

“Oh you know I do!” She pulled the trigger

WHAT HAPPENED NEXT?!?!?!?!?!?!

Don’t look at me I don’t even know. But could Nathan really disappear now? Or is something else going to happen
