Lunar blocks the attack with the handle of her scythe, hooking the blade around a low hanging tree branch and swinging past her opponent. Unhooking the scythe, she spins around, scythe blade posed right infront of Dodger's neck. Had they not simply been sparring, he would have been decapitated. Still, he falls to the ground in mock death.
"Dodger! I shall avenge you, brother!" Rodger calls, rushing forwards and blocking Lunar's scythe. The rest of the recruits watched in amazement as the small 14 year old girl took down Rodger as well. They clapped as Lunar helped the two up, took a bow, and grinned.
"Who wants to go next?"Suddenly, another siren blares.
"Sorry, recruits, but it appears as though we've got to go. Anyone confident in their abilities and prepared to give their life, follow me! There is no shame in staying behind; if you can't do it then you can stay and protect the base!"
A young girl, one of the youngest there at only 17, brushed her brown hair out of her green eyes and raised her hand.
"Yes, Lucie?"
"Do you have a hairtie?"Her army ran to the battle field. Lucie ran ahead, the scout, and came back with none other than Blue.
"Blue!"
"Hey, Cookie. I've got a plan, but I need you and your army's help.""Darkness Division! Pair up with a member of the Emotions Division! Your task is to protect them at all costs! Do not kill a corrupted unless you have no choice, once your team un-corrupts someone just make sure to get all three of you safe and off the battlefield and wait. This is a grab and go mission; Solar, Mason, Jace, and I will be dealing with the Twisted ones. Lets go!"
She decapitated a Twisted Bright, spinning around to block the claws of another before decapitating that one as well. The bodies fall to the ground, blood staining it grey. The bodies turn to dust, carried away by the breeze. She allows herself to relax.
That was her first mistake.
A twisted Shadow runs up behind her. She had little to no time to react.
She stumbled away from it.
That was her second mistake.
Tripping over a rock, she fell, the Twisted Shadow looming over her. It raises its malformed, twisted, clawed arm to strike.
She dropped the scythe as she had fallen, and held up her hands to protect her face in hopes she'd survive, knowing she wouldn't.
That was her third mistake."LUNAR!" Solar runs towards her little sister as she tripped and dropped her scythe. She wouldn't kill it in time but... she could take the blow. Mason sees what she was doing, and reaches out to stop her. He can't loose her!
So, dearest readers, this is your time to make a choice. Lunar has plot armor, yes, but will that save her this time? The clock is ticking, readers, and it's your time to write the story and make your choice; Does Mason stop Solar, or does she sacrifice herself for Lunar?
