TwoSet: Love

Chapter 2: Brett

Brett Yang, 21, had just arrived at his apartment after meeting a boy from his Uni, and as he tidied his clothes that he had taken off, his heart flew.

He had never experienced any kind of love romantically, as he was always focused on his studies and music. But the moment he had laid eyes on him, he had instantly fallen in love. Eddy had such messy and hectic style that Brett had noticed straight away, which he loved. His hair looked like it had been neglected for days, messy and growing out long. He had been wearing a loose collared checkered shirt and a pair of ripped jeans and looked like he just came out of an Op Shop. He had a tall and slim build, looking almost underweight, and even before Brett had met him by the train station, he had noticed how flustered and clumsy Eddy could be, especially during orchestra rehearsals.

Brett sat on his neatly made bed, fixed up his ruffled hair and began to try to get a hold of his mixed emotions of flustered excitement and his love for someone he had only just met. "I should've given him my phone number.." Brett thought to himself.  He walked over to the bathroom to splash water on his face and noticed how flushed his face looked. "Ugh, Eddy probably noticed that too..." Brett thought in embarrassment.  

Snapping out of his trance, Brett realised that he had left the water running and quickly turned it off and went to the kitchen to make himself dinner. "God, what's wrong with me today?" Brett wondered as he dropped his cutlery due to his shaky hands. Usually he was a calm and collected person who almost never made mistakes,  yet today he seemed like a total mess. "Just like Eddy, I guess." Brett giggled to himself.

After making a delicious meal of Instant Ramen, Brett got ready for bed and packed all of the books he would need for the next day, also making sure to set an alarm so that he wouldn't be late. He flopped down onto his bed and prepared for a good night's rest.
