Trent Grimm needed to set his father's mistakes right. But where will he start?

He was lying there on a single bed, his body still ached from the fiasco, and his mind was still completely AWOL from the dream he had.

If what he heard in hs dream was true that Rumpelstiltskin escaped, he must act now.

But most importantly is that hearing her sister is alive, he must get her back...she's the only one he has left.

He never knew his sister, he only saw him once before his father opened the book.

After his parents died when Trent was twelve, he lived off alone, jumping from one place to another searching for that goddamn book. And he found it, only to know that he must have another scavenger hunt to restore it and read everyone back like any other Silvertongue.

There they were sitting in his sister's nursery. His father dug up an old book, bound in leather in his father's study. Trent was just five at that time and his sister was just a year old. Their father Grant told them to get closer for he was about to read them a story. Grant began to read a whole chapter. When he finished that's when the world spun around them.

Grant dropped the book and they were blinded by a flash of bright light, when their vision cleared, Trent was the one who saw pages from the Grimm Book darting at every corner looking for escape. It was like watching a swarm of paper airplanes flutter vigorously. His father threw his shoe and it broke the window and in a sudden all the pages from the book darted out of the room. Whenn the fiasco died down, it was only then that they noticed that their one year old daughter was gone. All what's left of the book was an empty leather shell and a single piece of paper attached to it.

At least that's how Trent remembered it. His parents where never the same since then.

"You're Red Riding Hood?" Trent asked the girl.

The girl nodded as though she was tired of listening to the question.

Aside from her indimidating biker chick get up, she was beautiful. She had a perfect sculpted face, her pale white complexion was enhaced by those yellow eyes, also she rocked the blonde hair with red highlights.

"Uh, what happened to my clothes?" Trent said looking down at his body.

He was just wearing a long overcoat, with nothing underneath it.

"Don't worry, you won't be needing it" Red...Scarlet said.

"Uh..." he searched the pockets of his coat. "where's my wallet?".

Scarlet pulled a shopping bag from his bike and tossed it to Trent, who hastily caiught it, almost falling off of bed.

"Try them on" former Red Riding Hood said "we need to get moving".

"Ok, first of all I don't know you, aside from being sweet little Red from the story" Trent said, pulling of a pair of jeans, a white shirt, a pair of sneakers, and a hoodie. At the bottom of the bag,he found his wallet, almost half empty.

"Great. Now I'm a hundred bucks short" Trent groaned.

Trent rushed into what seemed like a bathroom, rinsed himself off and tried on the clothes, and it didn't look bad on him.

Yep! He said to himself, looking at his physique in the mirror. Not bad.

He ruffled up his hair and headed out.

He found Scarlet standing on the same spot, arms crossed.

"Do you even move?" Trent asked.

"Uh, I hate working with Grimm's!" Scarlet barked "you're lucky you found the book. If I had it first—".

"Please." Trent said "like it matters to you, Scarlet".

"It does" she replied "uh, just to clear things out. I saved your butt last night".

Trent knew he was bad at playing badass, and Scarlet has a point. He just wanted to make a good impression that he's not the loser everyone thinks he is.

"Okay, I'm sorry" Trent started.

"Thank you" he said, in the most sweetest, alluring voice he could choke on.

Scarlet faced him and slapped him silly across the face.

"Ow!" Trent exclaimed.

"That's for riding my bike, and using my bathroom" Scarlet said.

"You call that a bathroom?" Trent said.

He followed Scarlet untyo the living room where a large table was perched and a world map was spread.

"I was up all night, trying to solve this" Scarlet said and held a piece of paper up.

Trent snatched it at once. He almost forgot about it. It was the last page of the Grimm book, and it was Trent's most valuable item at the moment.

"Glass that gave hope to one who's lame, Now corrupted with fortune and fame." Scarlet said, as I read the paper.

"It's the first clue" Trent said.

"Any ideas?" Scarlet said, looking over at the map.

"What's that?" Trent leaned over.

"Markings" Scarlet said "each of them is a character from the book, I don't know if their heroes or villains".

Trent looked over the map, it had at least thirty marks in it, and five of them belonged to the United States.

"How did you track all of them?" Trent asked.

"I didn't, I had help" she pointed at a marking on Europe.

"You have friends?" Trent laughed.

"Unlike you, yes I have" Scarlet beamed. "now, can we figure this out? I need to find my grandmother".

"Isn't she in your markings?"

"No, I only have heroes and villains" she said, brushing her hair and tucked it behind her ear. "Unlike my grandma, she's  one of the many who didn't want to be here".

"Oh..." Trent felt sorry for her.

"I think I know what it is" Trent said, hoping to ease up the tension.

"Really?" Scarlet sounded amused.

"The clue's talking about a glass right?" Trent said. "So, maybe it has to do something with Cinderella".

Scarlet scanned the,map of the United States of America.

"Found her" she said, and pointed at the marking on the island of Manhattan.

"And her name now is Ella" Trent said, reading the info under the marking. "Ella Saunders".

"Ella Saunders" Scarlet repeated. "Saunder EllaCinderella. She's as dumb as her stepsisters".

"At least we have someplace to start" Trent said.

"Off to Manhattan then!" Scarlet smiled at him.

"Wait, I just have one question" Trent asked.

"What?" Scarlet replied.

The look in her eyes was calm, Trent knew they had to be friends at somepoint

"Did you take advantage of me?" Trent said, flashing a mischeavous smile. "You were the one who took my clothes off right?".

Before Trent knew it, Scarlet landed another slap across his face.

It hurt. But Trent took kt as a compliment and continued smiling, and Scarlet gave in too.

Finally, they we're friends. Now off to Manhattan!
