"fuck, fuck, fuck." he'd been asleep all day, almost missing his shift that started at 3.
the clock which jimin threw across the room previously, showed 2.42pm and he scrambled out of his bed to take a shower. the smell of the club's alcohol lingered on his skin as well as the strong cologne of each of his clients. the cafe was usually a 15 minute walk, but today jimin sprinted from his apartment block, allowing him to arrive just a few minutes late. he made a mental note to yell at his roommate, yoongi for not waking him up.
the day felt sickly long, the sun was too hot and there were too many people. everyone except the boy he was waiting for. seemed like jungkook was running late too, as the clock ticked past 4pm, then 5pm too and so jimin was disappointed to say the least.
"h-hi, c-can i get a croissant please?" a familiar voice rang by the till, looking over jimin saw jungkook panting and sweating from probably running in the sun. jungkook took his place inside today, still in the furthest corner and waited for jimin to deliver the snack.
"hey! here's your croissant, i hope you enjoy." he said cheerfully, placing the croissant on the table in front of jungkook.

i coughed still out of breath, as i looked down at the little artwork jimin made, he'd created a smiley face on the plate, with the croissant as the mouth and strawberries with chocolate as the eyes. to finish it off, jimin's writing was on the napkin.
'have a lovely day, jungkook :)'
fucking adorable. he scribbled a response to the message on the napkin with his number and left it with a tip and a little purple flower he'd picked on the way for jimin.

he watched jungkook walk out of the cafe, taking the rest of his croissant with him. jimin looked over to his table to see a pile that he'd obviously have to clean up, but he smiled as he got closer to the napkin and flower that jungkook had left.
'thank you babyboy, i loved it.'
his cheeks blushed at the nickname, which he fell in love with instantly and folded the napkin up into his pocket and placing the purple flower behind his ear, he got back to work with a happy heart. after his shift had ended, jimin walked home in the setting sun, unfolding the napkin he'd kept and rereading it, finding jungkook's phone number on the other side. grabbing his phone, he entered the number, contemplating the perfect message.

he locked his phone and dropped it on his bed, waiting for yoongi to come home from work so they could go out for dinner. instead of showering and getting ready, he lay on yoongi's bed and scrolled through jungkook's instagram.

"crap." jimin exclaimed, in disbelief knowing that he liked jungkook's photo from two years ago. he was utterly screwed, hopefully no one noticed he whispered to calm himself.
