"Well."

Erebus had nowhere to run. His perfect plan, ruined. Nobody to turn to. His only options were to either obey whatever he was told, or go out in a blaze of glory.

"What a coincidence!" The brown haired man exclaimed. "I never expected this to happen.. no no no."

Erebus slowly sank to his knees. He saw no other way out, he didn't want all of his efforts to go to waste. All he saw in front of him now, besides the barrel of a gun, was his hopes and dreams, shattered into a million pieces.

"Let me introduce myself." The man said. "My name is Mateo. Not my real name, of course." He laughed. "Now hand over the gun, and your bag" Erebus slowly reached for his shoulder, and dropped his bag and gun to the floor, defeated.

"By the way, you might want to turn around. There's some others I'd like you to meet."

Erebus slowly turned his head. He had no idea how much worse his situation could get. Until he saw four other gun barrels pointed towards him.

"The tall guy over there, that's Ares." Mateo said. Erebus focused on what he saw. Short dark hair, emerald sparkling eyes and a nice, shiny, spectacular... rifle, pointing towards him.

"The beautiful young lady next to Ares, is Adara, careful, she bites" Mateo smirked. Erebus chuckled to himself. Mateo sure was right. Stunning golden locks adorned Adara's head, with amazing blue eyes and her weapon of choice, a nice simple pistol.

"The girl on the left, that's Calista. Trust me, you don't want to get on the wrong side of her." Calista, Erebus noted was the complete opposite of Adara. She appeared almost brute-ish, ready to attack at any moment.

"Let me finish this, Mateo." The final man laughed. Erebus instantly noticed his striking figure. He knew this man could command the room with one finger. He was handsome, his striking blue eyes looked like they could turn you to stone. "My name is Darius." He said, with a voice that seemed like it would melt butter. "If I was you, I would consider your next move very carefully."

Erebus was lost. How could he have gotten into this much of a mess, so early on? He was locked in a bank with guns and a bag of explosives, ready to earn his keep. Yet the one thing stopping him, was the fact there was a whole other group of people, with enough equipment to destroy the place at least five times.

"I'm going to give you two options here." Mateo stated. Erebus turned his attention back to the man in front of him. "Either, we tie you up, and you join the rest of the pretty hostages over there," gesturing to the group of cowering civilians. "or..."

Suddenly, Erebus was grabbed from behind, the strong hands, belonging to Ares, pulling him up off the floor to reach Mateo's eyeline.

"Or we make this interesting" Mateo finished. Erebus didn't understand where Mateo was going with this. He only believed this would end in certain disaster, and his plan would be foiled.

Then, what seemed like the strangest thing that could possibly happen to Erebus, happened.

Mateo handed him the loaded pistol that was previously aimed at his head.

"We both know what you're here for." Mateo laughed. "What a coincidence that we both decided to rob this bank on the exact same day."

Erebus was confused. How had this happened? He had no idea if this was planned, or if it was indeed dumb luck that his plan had been invaded by outsiders who he had only just met.

"We are giving you one opportunity. Join us in our heist. Make history in this world, and escape with your life. Or get on the fucking floor, and pray Ares doesn't put a hole in your skull."

Mateo knew how important the original plan was to Erebus. He knew that Erebus wanted to do this on his own terms, and he knew that Erebus would be a valuable asset to his team.

Mateo took a sharp breath.

"So, what's it going to be... Erebus"

The man knew his name. This complete, total stranger knew his information. How? he had no idea. All he knew, was that he had to make a decision.

Join the man and his crew, or live his seemingly final days as a hostage under rule of Mateo and the others.

He knew what he had to do...
