Chapter 17~ Who Knew

Takara's POV

"Phew, the book is safe..." I muttered, holding the book close to me as I sat on my bed in my new apartment. I just came back from the hotel. Well, I actually snuck in at night hehe. At least it's okay... Even though I still don't know how to open the stupid thing. No offence gramps. "Okay, I bought groceries earlier... bought clothes... the necessary items for the bathroom, kitchenware... Think I'm good to go..." I nodded happily, but then sighed. "It's not the same without the others... I fell in love and look where it got me... Back in school I loved Takuto, but then he left. I sorta like this Takuto, but... He probably doesn't love me... and I was also kicked out of the group, I lost my friends.... Lost my parents, lost some of gramps inventions and paintings, everything!" I sighed, lying down on the bed. "...Oh yeah... I bought a new phone... Maybe I should text Takuto and let him know... Yeah, I should do that..."

One Hour Later...

Takuto's POV

After taking a nice shower, I grabbed a fluffy towel and wrapped it around my waist, exiting out of the bathroom. "Shiffey, here I come!" I belly flopped onto the pile of shiffeys that were on my bed. I yawned and sat up. "I should probably dry my hair first before I catch a cold..." With another yawn, I took out another towel from the suitcase since I'd rather not use the towel wrapped around me and end up being naked thank you very much... Just as I was about to grab my clothes...

(SLAM)

"Eek! I mean! Get out of my room!" I shouted, tossing the towel that was used for my hair at the intruder.

"Woah! Hey! What was that for?!" Riki exclaimed, ripping the towel from his face. "Shiffey towel? Really?"

I snatched the towel from him. "Yes, and what's wrong with that?"

"Nothing... Anyways, you left your phone on the table. Thought I would be nice and give it to you since you apparently have a message from a mysterious person." Riki smirked, raising his eyebrows up and down. "But since you yelled at me and threw a towel at me..." He said, already unlocking my phone.

"Give it!" I huffed, snatching the phone back before he can see the message.

"Alright alright! I was just joking haha... Or was I?"

"... That's it. OUT!" I shouted, shoving Riki out the door, slamming it behind him. "Hahh... Everyone's a pain in my ass..." I sighed and stared at my phone. "Wonder who texted me?"

'Hey Takuto, it's Takara. Just letting you know that I have a new phone and that this is my number. You can save it if you want to... Well, um... Talk to you later I guess? Takara.'

'Hey Takara. Didn't know you got a new phone. And of course I'll save it... Um... In case I need to call about work haha. Yeah... that's it... Actually, I'll be gone this whole week. Emergency. I'll let the boss know, but I just wanted to let you know first... I'm sorry for not letting you know sooner.'

I blushed and tapped on the send key. About a minute later, she texted back.

'That's okay Takuto! I understand. However much time you need is okay with me : ) Thx for letting me know. I'll see you next week then. Have a safe trip : )'

'Thanks. I will.'

After a few more minutes of conversation, we both fell asleep...

MEANWHILE WITH THE SCARLET FOXES...

"Damn it! We failed... twice!" Ryo complained, running her hand through her short raven hair. "And what's worse is that it's the same mission!"

"Maybe we'll have better luck next time?" Kohana said slowly, whilst eating an egg roll.
