I wake up and my birthday is over. I had the best birthday ever. I quietly hop out if bed since Peter is right next to me. I grab my toiletries and hop in the shower. I come back to the room and Peter is still asleep. I put on a cropped blue tank with a white jacket and some ripped Jean's. I start doing my hair and I turn on my blow drying hair brush and it wakes up Peter.
"Sorry Peter"
"No its fine" He sits up "So how was your birthday"
"Perfect" I keep brushing my hair. Peter gets out of bed inpugs my brush.  He gives me a passionate kiss. This is why I love him. I plug it back in and Peter gets ready. I decided I'm not going to do my makeup today. Peter tells.me he is going to shower  so I go and sit on my bed and pull dome blankets over me. I get a text from Gen.
"Hey Lara Jean just wondering why is Peter in Ashley's room."
"Wait he is."
"Yeah I'm in her room and Peter is outside talking to Ashley and they seem to be having a really deep conversation."Gen sends me a voice recording of them talking.
"Ashley you can't tell anyone"
"Peter she will never find out"
"She better not. I will be very mad if she finds out"
"Peter I'm not going go tell anyone"
"Ok I'm going to hop in the shower:
The recording stops.
"Thanks Gen"
"Sorry"
"Dont be sorry it's not your fault thanks for telling me" I grav a duffel bag and throw in some clothes and makeup and some hair products. Peter walks in fully clothed right as I'm packing up getting ready to leave.
"Covey what are you doing" I dont respond  and I just storm out. Peter chases after me. I end up making it to my car with Peter still outside. Peter knocks on my window. "Lara Jean talk to me"I back up and drive away. I am crying so much that I pull over into a McDonald's parking lot. I text Josh.
"Hey can you meet me at my house in 20"
"Yeah" I drive home and tell kitty and my dad that Peter is cheating and I sit In the living room they give me some space. I hear a knock kn the door and its Josh.
"Hey Lara Jean"
"H-hi Josh"
"Wanna go to your room"
"Y-yeah"
"What happened"
"Ge-Gen text-ted me a recording" I tell him everything.
"Sorry Lara Jean I have to go" I walk Josh down the stairs and say bye just then Peter's Jeep pulls up. Oh great. Our mail truck also pulls up and I go grab the mail. Peter is waiting for me at the mailbox.
"Lara Jean why did you leave"
"Peter i left because obviously I'm not the best, according to you, she is"
"Whoa Whoa Whoa what"
"Ashley" Of course just then Josh walks up next to me and tells Peter.
"Your treating Lara Jean terrible, sue is so sweet and would never do anything bad to you and you just do that to her. Wow"
"What are you talking about and why cant I talk to Lara Jean"
"Because you treat her terrible" Peter is silent.
"Lara Jean whta have you told him"
"Peter I told him what you said to Ashley" I look at Josh and give him the look of you can go now and he leaves.
"Peter I need you to leave"
"Covey"
"No peter leave" as he walks off he says
"You're always the best never 2nd best" later that day I get some many texts from Peter and I just go to sleep I dont want to look at his texts.
