i was sick of hearing about the maiden voyage of the unsinkable titanic on its trans-atlantic journey , it looked rather ordinary, not much bigger than the mauritania. cal and mother say i'm too difficult to impress though i chose to savour the non physical things in life , the size and luxury of a ship does not mean much to me. the day came that we would board the titanic and i could not be bothered with the crowd that would gather at the ship. when our chauffeur arrived we could barely move an inch for the crowd ogling at the ship at the dock. cal and lovejoy escorted mother and i to a large ramp leading into the ship. we were took to our room where i advised trudy of where to put my paintings , i knew i'd need to add character to the bland living quarters i shared with cal.

the next day we stopped at ireland and picked up more passengers , among these was margerete brown though we all called her molly , later , the unsinkable molly brown. that afternoon we all gathered in the first class dining room with the countess of rothes , mother , mr andrews , j.j aster and more. i sat there in complete silence smoking until mother addressed it and cal plucked it from my mouth. their presence was tiring and i'd had enough , after a few remarks on feminism i excused myself from the table and made my way to the deck to catch some air. i stood looking out over the ocean when i noticed some men from the 3rd class staring intently up at me. one man in particular was admiring me and we locked eyes , there was something about him that made you keep looking , perhaps his floppy hair which was much longer than the formal length. i directed my gaze back over the ocean until my peace was broke by cal's presence. i walked across the deck back inside.
