Young Justice meets a Jinchuriki (Continued)

Rescue

Chaos erupted before they even landed. Shouts and cries filled the vast room as the team tried to enter the glass cell containing the child they were trying to save. Flash and Kid Flash were speeding around the room sending the mercenaries flying. Batman and Robin kicked ass with their tech gear and awesome fighting skills. Aqualad took out his opponents with his water powers and Wonder Woman was showing her awesomeness by kicking the bad guys in the face with her heeled boots. Martian Manhunter turned into a large monster and attacked the group of men.

As they were about to enter the cell, they were confronted with Orochimaru. Batman yelled at the younger part of the team to stay away from him and to try to grab the kid. Orochimaru extended his neck a freakish amount as he dodged the attacks aimed at him, but of course he couldn't dodge Flash's attacks as he couldn't see them. Orochimaru summoned Manda, a huge purple snake with fangs. The snake lunged at the team. Martian Manhunter transformed into an even bigger snake, and they did battle.

Knowing that they couldn't defeat Orochimaru without Superman and the rest of the Justice League, who couldn't give them aid because they were helping people deal with a massive earthquake, the team decided that Flash would quickly grab the kid, while the rest of the team retreated. That caused the younger part of the team to be upset, but they didn't dare disobey Batman when he was angry.

Flash quickly pulled the net off of the boy and sprinted away with him.

Back at the watchtower, things were busy. Besides the fact the Young Justice team was ecstatic that they were in space and that Batman was hacking and researching like crazing to try to locate Orochimaru and contact Konoha, the team had to worry about the young boy now in there care. He was malnourished and sickly looking, he probably didn't know English, and the team didn't know how to stop the red chakra from continuing to damage his body. His skin looked very raw, and if it weren't for his accelerated healing he might have been bleeding out on the floor when they rescued him. He also had a strange contraption on his belly which was on a strange curricular tattoo. Batman studied both things and came to the conclusion that the tattoo was the seal that kept the Kyuubi in his body and the strange contraption was an invention of Luther's and that they should remove it.

The rest of the Justice League were furious that they weren't able to help fight Lex Luthor and Orochimaru and Superman, being the Boy Scout he was, promised to do everything he could for the boy when he woke up. As Clark Kent, he used his job as an opportunity to research Konoha. Through his research he sadly found out that after the Kyuubi attack, Konoha was too weak to defend itself when other Hidden Villages used the opportunity to attack and destroy the village. The village eventually recovered, but many of the original townspeople had either been killed or had immigrated to another country. This meant that Naruto wouldn't have a family to go home to. He might have relatives scattered around the world, but they would be nearly impossible to find.  Naruto would probably live in an America home unless a relative was found. Now, they just had to wait for Naruto to wake up.

When Naruto did wake up, all his injuries had disappeared. When he was unconscious, the red chakra coming out of him burned his body badly, but when he woke up, his skin healed miraculously quickly.

He didn't seem to have any knowledge of English and Batman was the only one who spoke a little Japanese from his business meetings as Bruce Wayne. Batman, of course, terrified the boy though, so Batman just translated for the other super heroes and Naruto. Naruto's Japanese wasn't even that good as he had no proper schooling during his captivity. Luckily, Naruto was surprisingly fast learner and was learning English and improving his Japanese at an unprecedented speed. The Young Justice team enjoyed having someone younger than them around and were impressed with his fighting skills and tried to teach him things.

Naruto was very confused and scared when he woke up, he tried to run away. He was eventually found in the air vents. This surprised many of the superheroes that he could do this as a four year old.  When the team cornered him he yelled some Japanese phrases and the red chakra started coming out of him again, but this time it didn't burn him, though it still burned the other superheroes. It turns out that the contraption on his belly made it so that when ever he used the Kyuubi's chakra, the seal weakened so that it would be easier for Orochimaru to break the seal.

It took a long time for Naruto to open up to anybody, he was very traumatized and wasn't trusting. When he did open up and start to feel safe, he practically attached himself to Wonder Woman. The team guessed that the reason for this was that she was the most motherly. She didn't oppose to this at all, she adored all young children, and it was soon decided that Naruto would be adopted by Diana Prince.
