Look Who Joined the Party

I need suggestions for what should happen next. I have ideas, but I wanna know what ideas other people have. Please vote and comment!

Everyone reacted immediately. Diana scooped Naruto up in her arms and everyone else took at defensive stance, even Alfred. All eyes looked around the room for the source of the danger. Everyone was tense until Superman relaxed his posture, hearing something.

"I thought you said that you couldn't come until tomorrow," he said to the open air.

Suddenly a burst of smoke appears in the center of the room.

"Do not fear for I am here!" boomed a voice from the center of the cloud.

All of the adult heroes groaned at the sound of the voice.

"Who's that?" asked Wally

"Oh! You poor children haven't been graced by my presence yet! My deepest apologies! You have probably heard the tales of my conquests! You may have thought of me as only a legend! But do not worry, I am real! I am Jiraiya the great toad sage of Mount Myoboku!" said the figure, striking the pose as the smoke faded.

"Who?" asked Wally and Artemis at the same time. The man's head drooped down, surrounded by an aura of crippling depression. (I don't know how else to describe the sad anime aura thing)

"Ha-pfff!" laughed Barry. "Oh boy! That's one to remember! You were all like —pfff— and then they were all like—heh" he said between gasps of laughter.

"It's not that funny dimwit," said Jiraiya, adjusting his headband.

"Why do you always have to have such big entrances anyway? Now everyone's all riled up. You could have at least avoided tripping the alarm," complained Hal.

"Yeah, well the bat went and updated his security system without telling me," whined Jiraiya.

Bruce snorted uncharacteristically.

"Hi old man!" said Naruto, cheerily.

"Old!-OLD! Do I look old to you! Listen here buddy—," screeched Jiraiya.

"Everyone thinks you're old," heckled Hal.

"Alright guys, let's be nice to the old man," joked Diana. "But seriously, welcome, enjoy the food."

"Ooh, I love hospitality!" said Jiraiya while simultaneously slices a piece of cake and staring down Barry and Hal.

"Guys, this is Jiraiya. He's a sage from the hidden continent. He taught Naruto's dad and is Naruto godfather. He's really busy all the time, he helps lead a spy network, which is why you haven't met him before," explained Clark.

Jiraiya waved and then resumed eating cake and ogling the ladies.

"Is he just here for the party?" asked Megan.

"No, he's staying for a bit. He's going to help you guys train a bit and has some important intelligence for the league. He's a really good teacher, even if he is a bit odd. He's also here to help Naruto get better chakra control. He's going to show you guys some pretty cool stuff," said Clark. "Anyway, I'm gonna start cleaning things up. Do you have another gift for the birthday boy?" he asked pointing to the container in Dick's hands.

"Oh yeah it's a surprise," said Dick putting it behind his back.

Wally, Megan, Dick, and Artemis all walked over to where Jiraiya was entertaining Naruto and other on top of a large toad. This would usually freak someone out, but they were used to this sort of thing by this point.

"Hey Naruto, come here, we have something special for you," said Artemis calling him over.

"Oooh, yay!!" cheered Naruto, giving Artemis a big hug. This caused her expression to change to one of utter joy and content.

"Gimme a hug!" exclaimed Wally, Naruto complied.

After a long hugging session, they all then turned to find a secluded place.

"Hey, where are you going?! The party is just getting started!" called Jiraiya after them.

"Not really, you do realize how late you arrived right?" asked Arthur.

"But, my fish friend, I am the party!" boasted Jiraiya, who stood up and started dancing atrociously.

Hal gagged.

"Stop, heckling me!" said Jiraiya, who pointed an accusing finger at Hal, even though he himself was smiling.

Once by themselves, the group all sat in a circle so that they could give an excited Naruto his last present of the night. They presented in front of Naruto a sleek black gift box. It was a square box wrapped in an orange ribbon. Naruto grabbed it and shook it, like most little kids do.

"Now be careful with it it's really special," warned Dick.

"Alrighty," Naruto said, fumbling over the ribbon bow knot.

After getting help from Megan, Naruto opened the box and squealed. His face gleamed with delight. He then reached into the box and with the utmost care removed the box's contents. It was an article of clothing. It was a jumpsuit that was colored blue and orange, with bits of white. It was made of fine cloth, curtesy of Dick's bank account, and had a holster on one of the pant legs.

"Ohmygodohmygod! But you — you — you guys said that I could only get this when — when," Naruto trailed off excitedly.

"Yeah bud, we're taking you on a secret mission!"
