A New Member of the Family

Hi it's been a long time and I'm really sorry, it was a combination of technical difficulties and a lack of motivation, mostly the latter. I hope my writing hasn't degraded too much. Sorry if this is bad. Please let me know if you have any ideas you want to see!

It was hard to go anywhere and not see Diana and Naruto together, they were connected at the hip. Ever since his rescue, adoption, and his slow introduction to society, Naruto had become a bundle of energy who was determined to be constantly at the center of a attention. After suffering emotional neglect for the most of his short life, he craved the feelings of love and companionship. His new found family was always happy to oblige him too.

The members of the Young Justice had started their journeys as heroes with big dreams, hoping to create a name for themselves and to gain the respect of their mentors, but on just their first day they saw first hand the reason they existed. To bring justice to the world and to help others. They were able to see the fruits of their labor firsthand, they met Naruto.

Naruto was the baby of the makeshift family. He was gushed over by Megan and Artemis. Used in elaborate prank wars by Wally and Dick, as well as the rest of the batfamily. He was held to high esteem by Batman and Superman as the model "baby super". But to all of them, he was their little boy, who you didn't mess with, ever.

3 years since last chapter

Naruto Prince was celebrating his seventh birthday. He didn't keep his original last name because he had no memory or connection to his biological parents. His exact birthdate was unknown, the team threw him a party every year on the anniversary of his rescue.

A super-family birthday party was the best kind of party, no surprise there. With bountiful gifts, entertainment galore, and treats superior to all others, a normal occurrence when it came to Alfred's cooking, Naruto was spoiled to the brim.

"Are you sure we're not overdoing it? I don't think any of us want a combination of Barry and Wally's energy and Bruce's spoiled-ness! Just imagine! Our Naruto, full of energy, and attention needy while also being able to get whatever he desired. That would be a disaster, and that is what is currently taking place!" joked Hal, watching Naruto rough house with his friends while being surrounded by towers of gifts.

"I'm not gonna complain about anything! Imagine if he was all broody and pensive like Bruce," said Barry. Both shuddered and hastily looked around the room for their favorite bat.

Barry stood up straight and quickly turned his attention to a nearby punch bowl. "He's right behind me isn't he," muttered Hal. The only response he got from Barry was whistling. The bat smirked and went back to watching the festivities. Barry and Hal quickly exited the vicinity of their scary friend and joined Diana as she talked about her plans for the summer.

"So the first thing we're going to do is go and visit family on the island. You know how much his aunties adore him. And sorry guy, no baddie is gonna take away from family time. You guys are going to be on your own for two whole weeks, think you can handle it," she joked pleasantly.

"Wait, I thought I was gonna take him to the farm. You promised. You know you did, don't deny it," said Clark.

"Yeah, well I get priority. He can visit them later," she said back.

"Wow I wish people fought over me that much! Not that people don't, they do- a lot, just not that much," whined Wally as he and Dick watched from afar.

"You wish! He's the king of the castle and we're just along for the ride. Rather he be king than you though," Dick joked.

"Aww, I'd be a great king, and you know it,"stated Wally.

"Sure, well anyway we have to get ready to give Naruto our little surprise," said Wally.

"Oh yeah, I can't believe I almost forgot about that," whisper-yelled Wally.

"Watcha talking about?" asked a voice coming from behind both of the boys.

Whirling around the saw that it was just Artemis and that their surprise hadn't been ruined.

"How you guys have been able to keep a secret is beyond me. Anyway, you might want to hurry up, Naruto getting kinda sleepy," she said.

"Alright, alright, whatever you want, just don't sneak up people. Please. You're gonna give me a freaking heart attack! Ahh," said Wally out of breath.

The three left the room and went to gather their surprise for their favorite rescue.

Just as they reentered the room, large container in hand, and called an ecstatic Naruto over, the ground shook and a klaxon blared throughout the bat cave.
